“Me or the sea”, at the time probably a difficult decision but today we are glad the question was asked as it resulted in one of the best culinary experiences ever.

“O me o il mare” is a fine dining restaurant in Gragnano. After coming to the Campania region for many years Luigi and Nicoletta surprised me in many ways.

The modern looking interior feels warm and homely and the big windows separating the restaurant from the kitchen make you feel sitting in their living room.

Nicoletta’s hospitality and incredible knowledge of (local) wines combined with Luigi’s mind blowing cooking skills makes a visit to the restaurant “a must” when you are in the region.

The foto’s will speak for itself and trust me, it tastes even better than it looks. A fantastic experience!

Un'esperienza che mi ha arricchito molto, culinariamente parlando. Siamo stati accolti con molta professionalità e gentilezza in una sala molto bella: storia e modernità. La location è super moderna e raffinata, ma la storia qui si respira in ogni angolo, sembra di ascoltare gli echi dei vecchi pastai gragnanesi alle prese con l'arte bianca. Lo Chef infatti ha voluto onorare la sua città con il piatto tipico gragnanese per antonomasia: "la barzanella". Tanta sapienza - un curriculum che parla per sé - ma soprattutto tanta umiltà. Piatti curati in modo maniacale ed accostamenti azzeccatissimi. Buon servizio, ma ciò che mi ha colpito molto è la competenza sui vini, sommelier molto brava. Da ritornarci quanto prima.
