The museum itself boasts a solid collection, including some standout pieces by unique artists like Bruegel—seriously, not the kind of artist you bump into at every corner. However, a heads-up: among the gems are quite a few copies. They’re not always clearly marked, so you might find yourself thinking, “Hold up, isn’t this supposed to be in that museum?” before squinting at the fine print.
All in all, the combination of strolling to this museum, exploring the collection, and meandering through the park was a highlight of our Napoli trip. Don’t skip it—it’s cultural zen with a side of cardio.

Not what I expected. There were some interesting things to see of course, but nothing really special. The Caravaggio paintings were missing, sent to some other museum.The ticket is way too expensive. The park outside is nice.

A beautiful museum! At the moment 1 floor is not available although we still enjoyed the experience to view the religious works. The garden is beautifully preserved. There is a pizza shop opposite it, a nice break for after the museum.

Naples was once on the Grand Tour so beloved by Victorian era folk - and rightly so. The Museum and gardens of the Capodimonte are absolutely stunning. And, the works of art it contains are just amazing. If you go to Naples, you should find at least half a day to explore this treasure.
