The lasagna tastes amazing! It's so good! I could eat a thousand portions. Lots of vine, the place is really cozy. Nice homemade food, the owners are very sweet and welcoming!

Very welcoming and charming place. We were lucky that the owner found a free table for us. (We would recommend to do a reservation.) We really enjoyed our dinner, all dishes tasted amazing! We did a one night stop over on our road trip and this place made the night. Set in a lovely quiet off street in the old town, la Brusca was the perfect place for a relaxed, good food and wine vibe. We were hungry and ordered 3 pasta dishes and dessert to share. There pasta was great authentic dishes and the desert was the perfect finish. If you want a relaxed authentic dinner then I highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this restaurant in central Modena.

Wonderful food and prices were very affordable. To be honest this was one of the better meals I've had in Italy so far. The Simple cooking were great and the restaurant owners were relatively friendly.

I had the gorgonzola risotto and the eggplant parmigiana. My friend has the caprese salad, which was massive and the sausage and beans. We had a side of mash potatoes which were good as well.

Definitely worth a visit.

Went there two times because of great reviews of the food, the wine and the atmosphere. On the first night, around 7pm, I was told all the tables were booked, in spite all of them were empty. It's possible. So I went back the next day at 5pm, to try to make a reservation. Information on the restaurant door states that the place is open everyday from 11h30 to 2am. This day it was closed, but a man came to the door as he saw me standing at the door. He opened it briefly an just said "it's closed", and closed the door before I could reply.

I never wanted to tell anyone how to run a business. I'm just sharing my disappointment of having high expectations to have dinner on my birthday, and the following day, and been poorly treated. Don't worry about me, I unfortunately won't be back to Modena any soon. Such a nice city, with lovely people. And there is no chance of coming back to this restaurant. I'm sure there are hundreds of nicer places to eat.

I'm sorry to have bothered you, Mr owner, with my poor will to have dinner.

I really don't understand why Mr owner care so much about my description of his poor service. I mean, I know there are several other reviews, from different people and in different times, stating that he doesn't care to provide information or even welcome costumers.
Just keep mistreating people that go to your restaurant. Just keep getting truly bad reviews about the service you provide. You don't have to explain anything. I just want to warn other visitors about your poor service, maybe someone will avoid wasting their time going to your restaurant that opens everyday, but some days is closed for no reason that we know. Don't worry about me, just keep on been happy.
