Excellent food, drinks, ambiance and service, not to mention the top notch desserts, all reasonably priced. We surprisingly found the drinks here to be considerably less expensive than at mediocre places in close by Sperlonga or Gaeta.

Siamo andati a cena per festeggiare  il nostro anniversario, abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione  5 portate di pesce e lo abbiamo affiancato da un vino scelto da noi. È  stata una fantastica sorpresa assaggiare piatti della cucina tipica locale  rivisitati dallo chef, servizio e tutto lo staff  davvero gentile e disponibile, non credo di essere mai stato in un locale di questo livello in zona. La quinta portata doveva essere un dolce ma a sorpresa è stata una degustazione di dolci, le foto parlano da sole. Sorpresa gradita è  stata il conto assolutamente ottimo rispetto al livello raggiunto per una cena. Torneremo sicuramente a provare la degustazione a base di carne.

We went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary, we chose the 5-course fish tasting menu and paired it with a wine chosen by us. It was a fantastic surprise to taste typical local cuisine revisited by the chef, the service and all the staff were really kind and helpful, I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant of this level in the area. The fifth course was supposed to be a dessert but surprisingly it was a dessert tasting, the photos speak for themselves. A pleasant surprise was the absolutely excellent bill compared to the level reached for a dinner. We will definitely come back to try the meat tasting.

Abbiamo scelto il menu degustazione di mare da 5 portate. A parte l’estrema lentezza (per tutta la cena più di tre ore), ma il pesce non è stato il protagonista dei piatti. Il tentativo di preparazioni complesse e impiattamenti inusuali, a volte riusciti a volte meno, è evidente ma il risultato è che diventa difficile comprendere il messaggio dello chef e comunque spesso il gusto è offuscato. Il detto “less is more” risulta qui quantomai azzeccato.
Inoltre siamo rimasti delusi dalla scelta della sommelier che (dopo che avevamo preso una prima bottiglia sui 50€) avevamo chiesto consiglio per una seconda sulla stessa linea di prezzo e che si abbinasse ai piatti in arrivo (essendo una sorpresa il menu e quindi non noti) in primis ci ha consigliato diverse opzioni ed è stata molto competente e simpatica, ma poi la bottiglia che ci ha consigliato abbiam scoperto nel conto che costava 100€… magari dirlo prima.
Esperienza che non vale secondo mio modesto parere la spesa.

We chose the 5-course seafood tasting menu. Apart from the extreme slowness (over three hours for the entire dinner), the fish was not the protagonist of the dishes. The attempt at complex preparations and unusual platings, sometimes successful and sometimes less so, is evident but the result is that it becomes difficult to understand the chef's message and in any case the taste is often obscured. The saying “less is more” is very apt here.
We were also disappointed by the choice of the sommelier who (after we had bought a first bottle around €50) had asked for advice on a second in the same price range and which would match the dishes arriving (the menu being a surprise and therefore not known ) first of all she advised us on various options and was very competent and friendly, but then the bottle she recommended to us we discovered on the bill that it cost €100... maybe we should have said it first.
An experience that, in my humble opinion, is not worth the expense.
