A pochi passi da quel portico d'Ottavia che è il nucleo centrale di tutto il Ghetto di Roma, in una delle sue vie più iconiche nonostante sia anonima e poco trafficata, proprio a dieci metri dalla chiesetta (questa si molto trafficata) e dalla passerella che immette sull'area archeologica troverete questo piccolo spazio dedicato all'arte, minimalista ma sempre ben frequentato. Si tratta di una galleria di dimensioni ridotte nata poco più di dieci anni or sono che è stata da subito attenta alle nuove tendenze e alla valorizzazione di artisti nazionali e internazionali, sia che stessero avviando la propria carriera (e contribuendo a dare loro impulso) o l'avessero già avviata senza essere giunti all'apice (e confermandone così il successo). In tre ambienti - ai quali si aggiunge un giardino interno che è una chicca - le bianche pareti e le luci ben dosate permettono di esporre in maniera semplice e lineare le opere d'arte di artisti che provengono dall'Italia, dall'America del nord e del sud e ora anche dal Medioriente. Bellissima la prospettiva fotografica dell'iraniana Shadi Ghadirian (artista cinquantenne nata a Teheran), una delle più grandi fotografe mediorientali del nostro tempo che attualmente è esposta con scatti suggestivi che rappresentano il disagio dei tempi moderni dovuto alla condizione della donna in un paese con un regime oppressivo e con la guerra sempre dietro l'angolo. Visite condotte con passione, esperienza e competenza che consentono di apprezzare al meglio gli artisti proposti e il loro mondo. Utili info? A few steps from that portico of Ottavia which is the central nucleus of the entire Ghetto of Rome, in one of its most iconic streets despite being anonymous and with little traffic, just ten meters from the small church (this is very busy) and from the walkway that leads to the archaeological area you will find this small space dedicated to art, minimalist but always well frequented. It is a small gallery founded just over ten years ago which was immediately attentive to new trends and the valorisation of national and international artists, whether they were starting their careers (and helping to give them impetus) or had already started it without having reached the peak (and thus confirming their success). In three rooms - to which is added an internal garden which is a gem - the white walls and well-balanced lights allow the works of art by artists from Italy, North and South America and now also from the Middle East to be displayed in a simple and linear way. The photographic perspective of the Iranian Shadi Ghadirian (fifty-year-old artist born in Tehran) is beautiful, one of the greatest Middle Eastern photographers of our time who is currently exhibited with evocative shots that represent the discomfort of modern times due to the condition of women in a country with an oppressive regime and with war always around the corner.
