We had some coffee and sweeties for brekky, and loved this place. I went for the larger cup with 2 shots and it was the best coffee I've enjoyed in Italy so far.
The sweeties were delicious and not too filling and the service and ambience were excellent.
Love it, and we will be back 💪🏼

5 Stars - A Must-Visit Spot in the Morning and Beyond!

Gran Cafe is an absolute gem! Opening before 7 AM, it was the perfect spot to start my day. They offer an impressive list of coffees, and the pistachio cornetto was nothing short of amazing—flaky, flavorful, and the perfect companion to my Latte Macchiato with an extra shot.

The building itself is charmingly old and rustic, adding to the authentic Italian atmosphere. Inside, I found a delightful assortment of chocolates that immediately inspired me to return later in the day to indulge. And if that wasn’t enough, they boast an extensive wine list, transforming into a wine bar in the evening—a truly versatile and inviting place.

Special mention to the lovely gentleman who served me—he was incredibly patient and kind as I tried my best to navigate Italian. Exceptional service to match an exceptional cafe. Fully deserving of 5 stars!

This was a very nice cafe with delicious coffee, sandwiches and pastries. It's an enotecca too so they also sell wine.
There is lots of comfortable seating inside and seating outside across the street. We had the breakfast sandwich and coffee.

I can see why this place garners such high reviews.  The espresso was excellent but mostly the counter service, very impressive.  From the super friendly smiles Asian looking guy to the snow capped bartender who's skill made and excellent double espresso.  Second espresso I've had in Rooms
Roma and better than my first at the top of the Piazza Venezia where it's more about the view than the food/drink/draconian guard service.

We came here for coffee before 7am on a Sunday and it was lovely. Great coffee and the most amazing pistachio cornetto - you will not regret trying one. Very quiet and peaceful at this time of day but I can see it would become very busy later in the day. Definitely recommend stopping here.
