My friend surprised me with a birthday dinner at IDYLIO BY APREDA, and wow, what an incredible experience! Coming from Bahrain, where I’ve tried a variety of cuisines, the food here truly stands out and justifies the Michelin-starred reputation of the restaurant and its chef. The staff were exceptional, and everything was beyond perfect—calling it “delicious” doesn’t even do it justice. Some dishes were so beautifully crafted that they brought back cherished childhood memories, even bringing me to tears. The sommelier was highly knowledgeable, expertly pairing wines with each dish. Truly an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you very much for making my visit to Rome truly a memorable one.

A very disappointing experience.
Arrived on time, waited 20 minutes for the menu, then the waiter didn't let us order what we wanted originally & kept pushing us on ordering other dishes, which wasn't nice giving the fact that we chose the 150€ menu (the price isn't right if I'm choosing what the waiter likes to have). The food was very average and when it came to our forth course which was chicken, they decided to make a little show & cut it at the entrance of the restaurant which was very far from our table (what is the point?)
While ordering we let them know that we wanted to do wine pairing, which for me personally was the worst part of the experience, the chosen bottles were very odd & cheap plus the waiter would pour so little, only enough to have few sips of it.
And for our third course the "sommelier" poured us very little of the wine, again, and said this is for your forth course as well, make it last! Which I think was rude and unprofessional, not to mention skipping one wine pairing!
I love dessert & sweets, but was genuinely disappointed by what they call dessert, it's not just about the looks, it should have a taste as well!
We also asked a question to the waiter and they completely ignored it.
Overall, I'd say it wasn't a pleasant experience & there are better restaurants.
Side note: I think wait staff should work on hygiene and how they represent themselves, especially when it comes to nails!
(you don't have to get them done professionally, cutting them short would suffice)
I understand I might sound a bit mean, but trust me it's just frustration, paying 426€ for a dinner where you get treated poorly was just not the goal of our dinner date, and after 3 weeks I'm still annoyed tbh.

Everyone should be able to dine like this at least once in their lifetime.  This proves Michelin stars are still relevant and legitimate.  Understated, elegant, and efficient service was done very well.  Chef Francesco’s and his staffs culinary creations are true works of art.  The foods and wine pairings were sensational.   We found the asian inspired flavors and takes on italian classics a creative change of pace from the usual Roman dining experiences.  Bravo!

Excellent time, food and service. My partner and I visited Rome and wanted to try a Michelin Star restaurant, we had never been to one before so we wanted to experience it, and we were blown away.

The service was impeccable. We opted for the seasonal 7-course meal with the wine pairing. Every course and wine came to us and was explained in detail. After ordering we got our appetizers 10-15 minutes later. We got 2 appetizers before our “7-courses” started, and there was also a dessert that was served not as part of our “7-courses”.

The portions were small but as to be expected at a fine dining establishment. We both left feeling very satisfied.

There was a course I wasn’t the biggest fan of as I do not like the taste of fish. There was a pasta dish that was cooked in fish-oil that I could barley eat because of the fish taste. Other than that I enjoyed all of the courses and would highly recommend.

We paid 170€ each and added another 80€ for the wine pairing.

If you’re looking to experience a fine dining restaurant this is a great place to go!
