We asked a local for her recommendations on where to eat and this was one. We came late at night and were able to be seated very quickly - which was a surprise! We felt so lucky. The food was amazing. Definitely authentic. The service was a little slow but not terrible considering how busy it was.

We visited here on a recommendation from a tour guide.
It did not disappoint.

Definitely the nicest meal we had whilst in Rome, the pasta was amazing and the service was excellent. The food was reasonably priced for the quality.

You can book a table, if you haven't booked a table be sure to arrive early, a lot of people were turned away.

We went for the food since we wanted Roman food on our last night in Rome. We walked 25 minutes out of our way to try this restaurant. When we arrived the lady was extremely rude and told us we have to call to make reservations when we were already right there and there were clearly open seats. So out of principle we called and made reservations so we could be seated. A man picked up the phone and we were told to come back in 30 minutes. It was kind of awkward lol but we came, we ate, and we conquered. I think the lady was being mean to us specifically because after we sat we asked the man next to us if he had to “make a   reservation” and he said no he just sat down.
I’m not sure why as a paying customer we were treated differently than others. I understand being grumpy or being in a bad mood but clearly that wasn’t the case. The lady wasn’t able to make eye contact with us when we came back because she knew she was treating us differently. Who knows why she was so mean. My friend said she was being racist, but I guess we’ll never know.

Maybe one day I’ll go back and ask her. Or maybe not. I’ve already wasted my time writing this review. I hope it helps someone who might be thinking of eating here.

Best best best food in a cosy trattoria. We had the gricie and amatriciana rigatoni. Shrimp tempura and fried zucchini flowers. The tiramisu was freshly made, the biscuits and coffee were still nice and warm against the mascarpone. So happy we came here . I ate before I had a chance to take photos.

I simply love this place so much!! Food is amazing, we spent 4 days in Rome and we went there 3 times! 😅 I had the best “Pasta al Mare” of my life, so fresh and delicious. ❤️ it’s a 100% good choice for lunch and dinner
