Rosa was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! On an uncomfortably hot day, with 4 small children of different ages, Rosa made the tour interesting for kids and adults alike and engaged us all masterfully in the history of Pompeii. Although my husband and I had been to Pompeii in the past, we experienced it more fully with this tour and learned so much we hadn’t known before. Our kids were engaged from beginning to end and had a great learning experience that they brought with them! So happy we booked this tour!

We did the Vatican tour with Kids tours of Rome and our guide was Angelica. The tour was 3 hours long and included the Vatican museums with the Sistine Chapel and the St. Peter’s Basilica. It was a very busy day at the museum but our guide was amazing at working her way through the crowds while keeping our children (10 and 11) engaged. We couldn’t have gotten a better guide for our family, she was both fun and knowledgeable and she even gave us little gifts during the tour! I cannot recommend her enough!

We did the Vatican tour with Francesca. We were so nervous because we have a nearly 2-year old busy boy but we really wanted our 7-year old to have a good experience and we as adults couldn’t miss the Vatican. I don’t know how we could ever have had this experience without Francesca. She was so knowledgeable and knew all the ways around the Vatican to ensure we can navigate with a stroller and fussy toddler. When we got inside, there were parts of the museum we had to ourselves because she knew the place so well. She was super engaging with us adults and our 7-year old, and we miraculously got to see everything and learned a lot despite it being very hot and our toddler being squirmy. Even the baby was having fun pointing out animal structures and playing with the fountain. She went out of her way to pass lines, and flexible as to the itinerary. I felt so sorry for the people in massive groups with boring guides, I think this tour would be perfect for anyone, kids or not.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Colosseum and the Vatican City with Kids Tours of Rome. Our guide was the amazing and lovely Valentina and we couldn’t have been happier with the tour and Valentina as a tour guide.

Her extensive knowledge of the areas we visited and things we saw was really impressive and we loved how she was able to keep the kids entertained and interested when they may have otherwise not enjoyed themselves quite as much.

The kids absolutely loved the quiz that Valentina ran each day and were very excited to get their beautiful little prizes at the end of each day.

Valentina was very kind and patient with the kids and managed to move us through the locations we visited at a good pace while still listening to my son talk about the Greek gods (incessantly) and telling him about all she know on the topic.

My daughter named the little bunny she bought in Venice after Valentina so she definitely left a lovely impression with our family and it really was great to spend this time with Valentina.

I definitely recommend Kids Tours of Rome to anyone wanting to visit Italy with kids!  I was also grateful to Laura for her assistance and recommendations on what time of day to visit each location as this meant we could avoid the hotter parts of the day and really enjoy our time.  The tour was also really well organised in terms of where to meet the tour guide and the quick and great feedback from Laura and the admin team.

We had a fantastic experience doing a tour of Pompeii with our guide Lello. We did the tour with our 10 year old twins and our 9 year old. Lello was amazing with the children and fully engaged them in the whole tour.He was extremely knowledgeable and it was a real treat to have an archaeologist as a guide in Pompeii! . I would highly recommend this tour for a family.
