As a Londoner trying to enjoy Rome with my family, we tried to enjoy ourselves by going to this bar. It was a terrible choice. They let in so many people before us whilst we patiently waited. It was then made CLEAR they let other people enter if there were females present in a group or duo. This was confirmed by the members of staff. Is it an ethical business practice to boost revenue through neglecting tourists and prioritising female attendance? I think not. They should at least have a sign saying 1% male capacity only! How bad must they be doing to have to draw in customers through women. Must be doing terribly.

The place is fun, but NOT SAFE. The bouncers were jerks. My wallet was stolen out of my bag while I was dancing downstairs. I know another girl who got her phone stolen out of her bag. Many other girls I’ve talked to have had bad experiences with the men who come here. They were too touchy and pushy. I had fun dancing until I was being touched and manhandled while I was downstairs. I recommend staying on the outside of the groups of people on the dance floor and just be aware of your surroundings. I won’t be coming back but if I did I would not bring my purse. Just use Apple Pay and have a picture of your id on your phone. Good luck… It’s really not worth it

Nur Bar has a great ambiance, friendly patrons, and good music, but the security and staff completely ruin the experience. I had a shocking encounter with the door security that felt more like harassment than protection. The bartender told me I couldn’t smoke inside, so I decided to step outside and respectfully asked the security if it was okay. Their response was aggressive and irrational: they demanded I pay to re-enter, and when I calmly questioned this, one of them pushed me. When I asked him “please, don’t touch me”, both security guards forcibly pushed me outside without even letting me grab my jacket—leaving me in the cold and later causing me to fall sick.

While waiting for my friend a few meters from the entrance, they tried to kick me off the public street and even attempted to snatch my phone when I said I’d call the police. This behavior was shocking, and cameras recorded everything. Security is there to ensure safety, not intimidate and attack customers. I cannot recommend this place under such circumstances.

Like every other review has said, the bouncers here are blatantly racist. For context, someone Italian dude cut us in line in the bathroom and then put his hands on me first. I stood up to him WITHOUT touching the guy whatsoever. The bouncer then proceeded to get physical and pushed me away DESPITE THE FACT THAT I DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT STAND UP FOR MYSELF. It is ABSOLUTELY APPALLING that this place is still in business with the amount of reviews that are talking about the same issue. I do NOT recommend going here if you are a foreigner.
