My wife and I went to 404 for lunch when our original restaurant had an hour wait. We were seated immediately and our server was great. I ordered a Hugo Spritz, the Bruschetta, Cacio e Pepe, and Saltimbocca, all of which were great. Seriously, the Cacio e Pepe was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

Really great place: hidden and discreet, excellent food and drinks (cappuccino and hot chocolate), good service and opens very early (6:30am). Very good address in Roma.
They also have wifi and restroom…
The tables and chairs are very industrial/old fashion. I highly recommend it!

Nice place cosy with very good simple food - had wonderful lasagna and side of eggplant. Oh, and the music they play is actually good pleasant jazz, a nice break from many restaurants playing rap crap that all sounds the same and grates the soul. Happened upon this place after a hot morning tour of Forum. The absolute best bruschetta we’ve had in Italy. Could smell the perfume of the tomatoes from miles away. Also had a panzanella salad i some escarole. All perfect. Friendly service, great prices in a little corner tucked away. Highly recommend.
