We were really looking forward to trying this Mexican restaurant in Rome, but it fell far short of expectations. The portions were tiny—tacos are single-serve, starting at €5 each, with dry pork that tasted more like shaved deli meat. The cheese in my Birria taco didn’t even melt, and the guacamole was bland and overpriced at €5, plus an extra €3 for chips! It didn’t taste authentic at all—more like Italian food dressed up as Mexican. Zero spice, zero flavor.

The margaritas were strong and enjoyable, and the service was friendly, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. But we left starving and had to find another place to eat. Definitely wouldn’t return.

My best friend and I love Mexican food, after visiting Mexico we were not able to find place as authentic as this in Europe! The food, the drinks, the service there is no words which could explain how much we enjoyed everything! For first time we were speechless! If you haven’t visited this place it’s a must!!!!

What a woundeful place!
As soon as you walk in you get to see the huge and impressive bar display.
The place specialize in Mezcal and Tequila and got a huge collection from small distillers to the most famous ones.
The food was super tasty and we enjoyed it a lot. I would really recommend the taco pollo which got great mole.
The food is medium size and can be shared as well.
We started with cocktails after consilting with the staff to make sure it is matching the style we usually drink and it was amazing!! Make sure to try the place cocktails menu and not only classics.
The bar itself is super impressive with it choice, I spoke with the mixologist which gave me a full detailed explaination about the mezcal world and I tasted few neats special ones which cant be found anywhere in the world.
So, if you are a mezcal and tequila lover  dont be shy and ask the staff to get introduced to new distillers and brands.
For last, the staff was very proffessional and friendly. They knew all ingridients, cocktails and has great knowledge in the mezcal and tequila area.
In my comparison, prices was very decent to what I am used to but of course it can change depend on where you live.
If you are a cocktail, mezcal / tequila lover or just want to hang out in an awesome place, go visit !

Incredible cocktails, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. They have a huge variety of mezcal and tequila. We ended up returning several times during our stay. 🍹

I highly recommend this cozy beautiful place for great food and cocktails. I can sincerely say that the cocktails and food deserves the highest compliment. incredibly friendly and knowledgeable servings of Benedetta and Gabriele were exceptional, with who went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable. They took the time to inform us about the menu and recommend cocktails according to our taste. Overall, our experience at La Punto exceeded our expectations in every way. We’ll definitely be back whenever we visit Rome :)
