We had dinner last night at the Umami restaurant in badalucco, we had the Umami menu with wine pairing.

We had an exceptional time, we were alone in the restaurant with all the attention of the manager. Very well thought out choices of food and wine that worked perfectly. Just the cider with the dessert served on ice was perhaps not very judicious, however the totality of this meal was of a great finesse and quality.

I highly recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience with the family or as a couple!

We dined on a quiet Monday so had a very personalised and discreet meal experience. After a last minute booking and limited research we decided to dine at Umami, ordering the Umami experience with matching wines, they all didn’t disappoint and having been on a bike trip near one of the local wines ( Terre Bianche ) we asked if their red on the menu could be swapped into the pairings.
This was an outstanding degustation experience we’d certainly do again, to try other menu options and for more of the same hospitality. The gin digestif rounded the evening off perfectly.

Great atmosphere, fantastic food experience, chef has interesting touch to the plates. We tasted one of the best tartars ever, served with coffee mayo and berries. Scallops taste as if they were freshly caught in the ocean. Pasta dishes out of this world. We came for lunch and for the special tasting menu dinner. The place was made by the famous ROI family.
