We had a lovely meal at Le Cupole and it felt like we were dining at a fine dining restaurant that's got Michelin star aspirations. Starting from the service, led by a young team of service staff who were well trained, professional, friendly and was perfect with the execution. Very commendable effort.

Chef is inventive, creative and trys to push the boundaries and that's reflected in all the dishes we tried. We had the four course menu that had large portions that we almost couldn't finish it all. The array of amuse bouche and the bread section itself is a feast in itself, all the courses were showcasing the brilliant local produce but yet very creative. This is not your typical Italian restaurant but more in the lines of chef playing with his culinary skills and your palate. We loved it and enjoyed our meal and would highly rate it for the experience, great cooking snd wonderful service.

If you're looking for a culinary catastrophe paired with a side of abysmal service, then this is your spot. As a party of 9 celebrating a bachelorette, we expected a night of joy and delicious dining. Instead, we were served a sequence of unsavory surprises.

Firstly, every dish was not only unbalanced but in some cases, downright grotesque, causing us to question whether this was a joke. The presentation and plating was creative and beautiful but could not mask the lackluster and sometimes nauseating tastes of the dishes. It was all gimmick and no substance.

The service was shockingly appalling. The staff seemed to have embraced rudeness as a virtue, treating our friendly inquiries with disdain. Hospitality was non-existent; it felt as though every request was a massive inconvenience to them, responding abrasively and sarcastically. It was memorable in that it was a uniquely horrible experience—an anti-celebration that dampened our spirits on what should have been a joyous occasion. This place failed spectacularly on all fronts, turning our bachelorette party dinner into a memorable fiasco for all the wrong reasons.

Had dinner with my wife as we didn’t want to wander out to the city in the rain, thinking a restaurant in a 5-star resort would be a good option.  Wrong!
1) Service.  There seems to be an attempt to train a young crew the right moves, but, alas, reality is slow service with staff running around chaotically and missing main things like taking crumbs off the table, not asking to refill a drink.
2) Food.  We picked a-la-cart option.  My wife’s burrata dish was bland, no character or distinctive taste.  Her fish came out with one part overcooked and another undercooked. My octopus was way overcooked and the duct was dry and cold when it came to the table.  Again, trying to be fancy while missing the basics.
3) Atmosphere.  There is potential just because of the location and the view.  However, the service and the food kind of ruin it.

One of the most unique restaurants in rapallo.  The food is amazing and the staff who made our meal unforgettable with their great introductions were truly amazing.  We recommend it to everyone.

Service: 6 stars. Very professional, I can’t recall other places I know which have a better one.
Atmosphere: 6 stars. Amazing view of Rapallo, Santa Margherita and Portofino.
Food: modern and creative. Very good quality. Not my favorite style though. I liked more as it was last year, more traditional and substantial, yet super good. I considered it to be better than any other Michelin star I have been to and I still dream about some dishes I had last year.

Overall a solid 5 star for fine dining, personally I enjoyed more the service and atmosphere than food. But that’s just personal preference. Definitely better choice for the ones looking for fancy, creative and modern cuisine.
