Personally, I believe there is a certain level in cooking that can be achieved, and I think Baretto has hit that invisible ceiling. The dishes were incredibly delicious.
But that’s not all—because when you reach such a level of flavor, the next step is to break through that ceiling, and at Baretto, they did so by creating a true gastronomic experience. Dinner there was like taking us on a new, unknown adventure; it was an experience, not just an ordinary meal. 🤌🏼

This is a Michelin star restaurant so you can expect prices to be high, but you do great food and great service. The food was amazing although I ordered the Cod with Polenta and expected it quite different but still delicious. I was able to taste the Octopus as a main dish and this was magnificent. A nice touch was all the complimentary little dishes in between courses and with the coffee. We were a party of 11 so I was lucky to try different starters and main courses and all the meals were exceptional. We had a lovely Bergamo white which was fruity and complimented our courses which were all mainly fish courses. A meal at this restaurant is not cheap but it's a culinary experience worth indulging in.  I have to mention the excellent customer service which was delivered with professionalism and cheerfulness. There is only one thing that lets this restaurant down, and that is the toilets. First, they need to be cleaned during the clients being there as it gives a bad impression when there is no toilet paper or hand wipes.

Today we went to have something to eat in this restaurant after long walk, we bought it for the 2025 Michelin stars. I ordered polenta with fish and truffle - it was impossible to eat. I have never tried anything more disgusting in my life, and for 24 euros. Why did they give them Michelin stars? My companion ordered pasta carbonara with shrimp, my God, it looked like lunch in a school cafeteria of the USSR.

We were also forced to pay 7 euros for each “compliment” from the restaurant - bread and butter and dessert, which we didn’t even eat. When the waitress brought it to the table she didn't say anything. Usually In decent restaurants this is included in the price or is a real compliment.

Our evening was ruined by very noisy, annoying woman, who tried to shake coins out of us.

Nothing impressive.  Tasty food, but in many places in Italy the food is delicious. Some of the meals didn't even look appetizing.
In sunny days and warm nights if you stay outside,  you have an amazing view from the top of the hill.
But the worst service I've ever had, not only in Italy.  The waiter tried to lift out half full plate without  even asking if we were done. And that was through out our stay, as if he was rid of us.
He didn't remember who of us  what have ordered and for this reason after the antipasti  some of us received all together- primi and secondi but he quickly rid us of these full plates too. Unfortunately, this unpleasant attitude didn't allow us to enjoy the dessert- home made pistachio ice cream. At least we were able to try it before it was taken away.
I wouldn't repeat, despite the nice looking dessert platter to finish.
