Staying at Passalacqua on the shores of Lake Como was nothing short of a dream come to life. The property itself feels like a page torn from a storybook, where every corner glimmers with light and elegance. The historic villa, adorned with impeccable rooms, welcomes you with an air of timeless grace. Each room is a sanctuary of comfort, bathed in sunlight during the day and wrapped in serenity at night.
The pool, nestled amidst verdant gardens, is a tranquil escape with breathtaking views of the lake, a shimmering mirror of the sky. And oh, those sheets—soft as whispers, they envelop you in pure bliss, making every night’s rest a cherished memory.
If there was one small shadow on this otherwise perfect experience, it was the breakfast, which, while pleasant, didn’t quite match the celestial heights of the rest of the stay. But even so, I would return to Passalacqua a thousand times over.
If they’d let me, I’d never leave. To live in such beauty, with the lake as a daily companion, would be the ultimate luxury. Passalacqua isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where dreams linger long after you’ve left.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Passalacqua with my family of three, and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their friendly and efficient service. The interiors of the hotel are absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, with every detail adding to the mesmerizing atmosphere. The beauty of the hotel matched the breathtaking views outside.

The staff at both the formal and casual restaurants were incredibly accommodating. Since we are vegetarians, they kindly suggested several dishes and even offered to prepare meals that weren’t on the menu, which I truly appreciated. The food was exceptional—some of the best we’ve had, especially the pasta, which I can confidently say was the best I’ve had in my three trips to Italy.

The amenities were top-notch, and the hotel manager was extremely kind and approachable, always available to assist with any requests.

However, while Passalacqua is a perfect destination for couples, I feel it may not be ideal for families with young children. Having stayed at many luxury hotels, I was surprised that there was no welcome kit for kids, and no child-specific toiletries were provided. Additionally, the hotel only placed robes for two people, which is unexpected for a luxury property like Passalacqua. I also missed the usual pre-arrival communication that most luxury hotels provide, where they ask about your preferences and arrival times.

Overall, my experience at Passalacqua was wonderful, and I would rate it 10/10 for couples seeking a peaceful, luxurious getaway. However, for families with children, I feel there are certain areas that could be improved.

Enjoyed dining at Passalacqua Restaurant - the tasting menu was wonderful, the staff were very attentive and the setting for dinner was breathtaking.  I loved the romantic table setting outside overlooking the lake with beautiful views - the ambiance was out of a movie.  An unexpected surprise guest sighting toward the end of our meal was an added treat!  The property and grounds - absolutely stunning with each room more beautiful and elegantly decorated than the last.  We loved the charming, private boutique feel of Passalacqua - would certainly return for a stay next time in Lake Como!

Back in March, my husband and I, along with 19 of our friends and family, stayed at Passalacqua for our wedding celebration over the course of 5 days and we can't say enough good things about it!

The grounds are beautifully maintained, striking a perfect balance between being well-kept and preserving a natural, charming vibe. The staff are absolutely incredible—by the end of our stay, they truly felt like family. They are polite, polished, and know just the right moments to engage in conversation. Their knowledge of the hotel’s history is an added bonus. One of the staff members even recognized us from my sister’s honeymoon at the Reschio—she was so kind and remembered us, which made our stay even more special!

We took advantage of most of the hotel's offerings and wished we could have experienced them all if we had more time. The boat excursion was particularly amazing. We arranged three boats so all our guests could experience Lake Como from the water. The captains were informative, and they provided drinks for us, making it a memorable outing.

The food at Passalacqua is simply extraordinary—truly first-class. From breakfast to dinner, everything was perfection. Some evenings included live music, which added a magical touch. We were so full but couldn’t stop eating—it was that good!

The rooms are impeccably designed, with thoughtful details that make your stay unforgettable. From the welcome champagne and evening treats to the discreetly hidden TVs and turn-down service, every aspect is carefully considered. Thanks to our guest list, we had the chance to see most of the rooms, and you can't go wrong with any of them. That said, the truly special ones are located in the main building.

We can’t wait to recreate this trip in the future for our anniversaries and look forward to bringing our children one day! Thank you, Passalacqua, for making our dreams a reality.
