Excellent fine dining, cosy atmosphere and high class service. An amazing wine list and delicious food make this a great choice for romantic dinners for special occasions

This is a place which we will not visit again.
The reasons are following:
1) Welcome was a disaster. The confirmed online reservation was not taken into account when we arrived at the restaurant. Finally we got a table after struggling for a while.

2) The portions are ridiculous small for the price. You will pay almost 1 euro for 1 gnocchi.

3) After waiting for 1 hour (60 minutes) for the desert, we decided to cancel it. It was only the selection of cheese, but it took for ever and we have been looking at other tables that arrived later to leave the restaurant.

I write the review not, after some time reflecting about it, and because I am still remembering the negative experience, specially taking into account the high price we paid for it.

Good restaurant, located in a beautiful villa. Ambiance is very elegant and posh. Traditional large lombard wood chimney inside.
Food is good, although temptations for small and sexy dishes win over the quality of the ingredients, in my impression. I was not touched by the size nor the aroma of the various dishes I had. Prosciutto e melone, neither excellent, but good indeed. Rice and persico fish, the breading winning over the delicate lake fish flavours, and costata impanata e fritta with porcini, again too important breading. The service is good and professional. The wine list is vast and very interesting. Medium-high price. To try once more.

Never felt so un-welcome in a restaurant. We went with our two kids (1y, 3y). They were calm and behaved exemplarily, but from the beginning it was clear, that the owner didn’t appreciate their presence in his restaurant. Food was ok, service was stiff. We had the feeling the owner was in his staff’s back, which created an unpleasant atmosphere for the staff and the guests. First and last time we came here.
