One of the top meals I had in the region during my recent trip to Italy. I even got a chance to talk to Chef Mirko and his dad a little. Their tasting menu options are flexible, so I did their choose-whichever-you-want and took 4 dishes and added a dessert. 62 euros for dinner June 2024, very reasonably priced. I tried their uovo purgatorio, the squid ink and seafood ravioli (so good!), the salted eggnog sauce on a stuffed lamb donut, the pork belly with carrot sauce and anise (most delicious plate of the night), and their chocolate and peanut tart. The only thing a bit off was the tart because when it crumbled, the entire crust fell apart and it wasn't fused to the filling, so you had to work to get a bite of everything. Nonetheless, this place is very worth it to visit Lucera.

Esperienza fantastica.
Locale molto intimo con una scelta incredibile di vini, accoglienza e servizio cortese, gentile e preparato.
Le portate oltre che bellissime nell'impiattamento erano gustose, ricche di ingredienti del territorio trattati con cura, amore e conoscenza.
Eravamo di passaggio a Lucera e siamo rimasti entusiasti di questo locale che porteremo nel cuore.
Ci ritorneremo un giorno....magari 🤣

Very intimate place with an incredible choice of wines, welcoming and courteous, kind and prepared service.
The dishes were not only beautifully plated but also tasty, rich in local ingredients treated with care, love and knowledge.

Per il mio compleanno, uno dei regali ,  l'ho trovato particolarmente intrigante.Un amico esperto di ristorazione , ha pensato bene, di regalarmi   Un invito a cena per degustare le prelibatezze create dalle mani sapienti di Mirko Esposito titolare del @coquus_rest. Definirlo ristorante é riduttivo. É un percorso enogastronomico, sensoriale ed emozionale. Pluri premiato e stellato. Cibo di eccellente qualità, cucinati con mix perfetto tra tradizione ed innovazione. L'amore per la cucina lo avverti dalla scelta della cantina, all'abbinamento dei cibi. Grazie all'amico che mi ha permesso di scoprirlo. Amici provare per credere. Una eccellenza del territorio. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

For my birthday, I found one of the gifts particularly intriguing. A friend who is an expert in catering thought it right to give me an invitation to dinner to taste the delicacies created by the expert hands of Mirko Esposito, owner of @coquus_rest. Calling it a restaurant is an understatement. It is a food and wine, sensorial and emotional journey. Multiple awards and stars. Excellent quality food, cooked with a perfect mix of tradition and innovation. You can feel your love for cooking from the choice of cellar to the pairing of foods. Thanks to the friend who allowed me to find out. Friends, try it to believe it. An excellence of the territory. We will definitely be back.
