We enjoyed a lovely Christmas holiday at Masseria Il Frantoio. We stayed four nights and everything was truly wonderful. The property, our room, services, breakfast and the two holiday meals we experienced were all fabulous. It is a very relaxing atmosphere, which we appreciated after our visits to the surrounding areas. We will return. Thank you to all the exceptional staff who made us feel at home.

Fantastic location and atmosphere. Wonderful historical mansion surrounded by century old olive trees. Very well decorated and maintained. Personnel is very friendly. Great location between beautiful places in Puglia. Great for walking and cycling. Absolutely recommend.

A beautiful venue with a really calm vibe. The staff are very efficient and professional but friendly, and attentive to guest needs.

The evening dining was a great experience and we were lucky to have a served salad lunch in the gorgeous Italian Garden, which was a romantic start to our stay. .
The pool was in a beautiful olive Grove setting and also calm and idyllic.

We absolutely loved our stay at Masseria Il Frantoio! The staff was so lovely, welcoming and friendly. The property is gorgeous, beautiful patios, gardens and pool. The food and wine was absolutely delicious-- our 8-course dinner was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our only regret is not having dinner at the hotel a second time! We can't wait to return and bring our friends. Thank you to the entire staff for a beautiful stay!!

Four friends in our 50's stayed in September 2024 for 9 nights.  We were visiting Pulia for the first time and there is so much to see!  Il Frantoio is in an excellent location to visit and drive around the region.  Il Frantoio is predomintately about the olives and olive oil.  It is very quiet during the day and eating outdoors in the evening was great fun and memorable. They offer a tasting menu of traditional Puglian food and the wines keep coming.

There is a lovely swimming pool which was just starting to cool down as the temperature started to drop from the mid 30's to the high 20's so a bit chilly towards the end of our break.  There is a charming hut by the pool with an honesty bar.

We had a beautiful privilege room in the main house called Calle which had a lovely big bed and a bath.  The shower room was a bit of a squeeze!  Our friends stayed a suite which was also very charming.  There are some steps in rooms and steps up to rooms and don't expect high tech. You can access Wifi everywhere although it is a very relaxing place to stay and a book feels like a better fit.

The staff are all very friendly and quietly efficient.  Breakfasts are good and everywhere is spotless.

There is a small area to sit indoors with a record player, but this was the one area we all felt was their weak spot for guests.  Olive oil tastings take place in this room and we were asked very politely to move from the sofa while this took place.  Perhaps olive oil tastings could be moved into the truly amazing original oil pressing room and then more comfy sofas could be provided for guests to relax inside in what is a wonderful room.

The nearest City of Ostuni has also some wonderful restaurants for dinner and lunch and we ordered a taxi there for our evenings out.  Places we visited: Locorotondo, Cisternino, Lecce, Ostuni, Matera, Monopoli, Polignano a Mare, Alberobello, Martina Franca and Gallipoli.  So many outstanding places to eat - my absolute favourite - Osteria Piazzetta Cattedrale in Ostuni.

We all felt that Il Frantoio gave us an authentic Italian base to discover Puglia and would definately recommend it to all.  We all hope the incredible olive trees stay safe and thank you so much for such a lovely holiday.
