We went for dinner. The location is spectacular, with a big miss being an horrible padel court in between the wine yards and the lighthouse. What a touch of class…
The dinner was okeyish. Hit and miss with very long waiting time. The staff is clearly trained to be stiff, pretentious, unwelcoming and never smile. Given the price, definitely not recommended.🤷‍♂️ just go for an aperitif if you are really keen.

On July 17, we had a family dinner for 11 guests. My son has various food allergies, all of which were carefully—excruciatingly—shared with the restaurant well ahead of his order being placed. We repeated the allergies in both English and Italian. Unfortunately, my son had a serious food allergy reaction, and it’s unclear whether his dish actually included the allergen or whether this was cross-contamination. Whatever it was, it was clearly the restaurant at fault. We ended up in the emergency room, on a remote island, which was not fun. This lack of care by the restaurant and its staff was very disappointing. There was no follow up or help. My hunch is that there was a mix up between the serving staff and the kitchen. I love the restaurant, the setting, but I was let down. I don’t think I will be back. If you are concerned about food allergies, please be careful at Capofaro.

Excellent place to stay in the Aeolian Islands, very beautiful, clean, and well managed. Located outside of the port town of Santa Marina but transportation is easily accessible. Restaurant is very good with a friendly staff. Wine tasting available.

The place is beautiful and we had a wonderful evening sipping wine produced in the estate, some really good drinks and fresh seafood. The venue is carefully designed from an architectural viewpoint and the staff very courteous and well meaning. The three stars review comes from the lack of coordination and design in the way service is administered. When a client arrives or needs to pay the bill, they have to wonder around looking for someone able to help, and if a reception desk (or staff) exists, it is neither indicated at all nor found on the path in. On top of this, during our time there we had to get up and go search for attention twice, something not acceptable in a place of this level. The staff is plentiful and ready to help, what evidently lacks is some coordination that makes sure it is delivered in a timely and effortless way.

Last but not least, do not come here if anything other than a generous budget. This is not a place intended for casual travelers and the prices fully reflect it.
