Beautiful location, but that’s about it.
The food is below average for the price, except for breakfast, which was the only meal I truly enjoyed.

The most ridiculous experience was at the ocean view restaurant. Lunch is advertised as “no reservation needed, first-come, first-served.” I arrived first and requested a balcony table for the five of us. The manager claimed that accommodating us would require using three tables and result in “losing a spot,” so he insisted we sit in the middle of the room or on the inner deck with a less desirable view of the pool.

I noticed a table already set for five near the balcony and asked if we could use it. He replied that it was reserved for someone who visits regularly. So much for “no reservations” and “first-come, first-served.”

The manager’s behavior and attitude matched the poor quality of the food. Someone like this shouldn’t represent a hotel that aims for a high standard.

My family stayed here for five nights in early June. It was absolutely amazing for the price. Yes the interior is a little outdated but the location, pool/beach & service made up for it. It’s also very kid friendly for those traveling with families. The private beach is something out of a movie. The location is close enough to the center to get up and down easily by either their shuttle or taxi service.

Hotel location is awesome.  Beach and set up on the beach is great.  Pool and view is awesome.  Tunnel and restaurant views are very nice.  Shuttle service to town is very convenient. All employees we came in contact were excellent and the type of people I would hire. These are the high points.  Food quality a breakfast is good, quality and value at pool restaurant is 'so-so'.  The the lobby is getting close to needing some work.  2 years max.  The biggest problem however is the guest rooms and room areas.  Total trash!  I stayed at this hotel 7 years ago and absolutely nothing has happened.  I don't think I can stay at the property again until I hear that all rooms have been renovated.  Pity...because everything else is good-awesome...but the rooms are so bad that it can't be overtaken.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and it was an absolute dream. I was a little concerned after reading some reviews that the rooms aren’t great but honestly, I sometimes think people are too picky because I found the rooms to be very nice. No they’re not super modern rooms but I liked the charm of how they were decorated and they were very spacious and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and a beautiful view overlooking the water from every room! Even if you have the garden view room like we did you just need to climb up a couple of steps from the terrace to see the beautiful view of the water. The breakfast every morning was delicious with such a wide selection. All the staff were so kind and helpful. And the amenities! The beach and pool are even more beautiful in person. We truly felt like we were in paradise. The water is so clear and such a nice temperature when we were there in September. We spent every day sitting by the pool or beach, relaxing and swimming and then would take the free shuttle each night into Taormina to explore and try some of the restaurants. The views from this hotel are amazing. We didn’t want to leave! So for anyone trying to decide if they should stay here or not based on some of the reviews of the rooms, you absolutely should!! Staying here was one of the highlights of our honeymoon and I can’t wait to return someday!

The location, views, pool, and beach area cannot be beat. This hotel boasts the most incredible spot in the area, it’s no contest! Plan on spending two days enjoying these things, because this is what you are paying for. The rooms are fine, nothing special. The ocean view room is a must. The food is average and overpriced, but to be expected at a place that is so beautifully built into the side of the ocean cliffs! We also had massages at the spa which were absolutely incredible. We are so glad we stayed here while visiting the Taormina area!
