We stayed in December at the bottom of low season, so the pool was closed. We visited the roof top bar, but It was a tad chilly to stay. However, this is a great hotel located near the beach. Service was wonderful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Can't go wrong staying here.

A bit of a mixed review here, but overall a great place to say and I’d come back! Details below:

Pros:
- the location is absolutely fantastic. Right on the water, in walking distance to everything but far enough that you miss the noise and can relax
- the cleanliness and hygiene is second to none. The whole property and their rooms are absolutely immaculate - every day our room was sparkling! The cleaners are amazing
- the pool area is gorgeous and a lovely place to relax
- the pool has enough sun loungers for every guest so no need to get up early and fight for a chair - amazing!
- the quality of the rooms is great. Lots of outlets, great air con, gorgeous shower and secure doors. The room with the hot tub is absolutely beautiful and we’d recommend!

Cons:
- service was nice, but not the friendliest. Additionally, it was hard to order drinks around the pool. We waited 38 mins for an aperol spritz after having to walk into reception to order and chase them - no one would ever ask if you wanted a drink proactively. For such a small hotel you’d expect a more personalised service
- breakfast service was extremely slow (1.5hrs to get to table from leaving) and tables were left full of dirty plates for hours after people left their tables, which could be seen from the pool/balconies
- the hotel couldn’t really deal with allergies which was strange as they emailed asking me about any allergies a week before. They didn’t know what was in the breakfast food and there was minimal signage. We always had to ask every morning for an ingredient list and once they brought out some shop bought muffins with the label on it - disappointing. We had a welcome gift with a nut (our allergen) in it upon our arrival. We couldn’t eat it and it was taken away with no alternative offered, which is poor and you lose out if you have an allergy. We couldn’t eat with confidence here
- privacy - we had our do not disturb sign on our door and every time it was on (multiple times) our room was entered. This isn’t ok and is upsetting. I get we had a hot tub that needed to be cleaned, but you can schedule this with us and ask us, especially when we are on the hotels grounds. There was no communication here.
- your own pool towels are only changed every 3 days, if not you’re charged €5 for extra. However, ours weren’t changed after 3 days and it wasn’t very nice
- it was very quiet, which was nice but some background music at the pool wouldn’t have gone amiss
- very expensive drinks. Almost double the price of that you’d find on the beach a mere 2 minute walk away

Overall, a great hotel that could be excellent if a few changes were made. A special mention to Monica who was always super friendly and lovely to see!

P.s. we weren’t impressed with the food in Mondello (not the hotels fault), but, if you want a great dinner - head to Florio - it’s pricy but worth the journey! Incredible food and service with great views and interesting historical location - not one to miss!

What could have been a great end to an amazing trip ended up a disaster that the hotel could have easily been proactive and avoided on many levels. When we arrived our room air conditioning compressor was turning on and off every 30 seconds. This did not start after we checked in, this was happening before we arrived. The room was uncomfortably warm, the ac was not working property. The repairman arrived after 5pm. When we returned from dinner we noted the compressor was still turning on and off every 30 seconds, but the room was cooler. We were trying to determine how to sleep with the constant on off of the compressor. Then we noticed flies in the room. There were no windows open, they were coming from the ac ducts. They were not house flies, they looked like flying termites. We began to kill the flies thinking there must be a finite number of them. We were wrong, they kept coming. Too many to kill, too many to sleep with. This is all happening between 9pm and 10pm, 10 hours after we arrived. The woman on duty contacted management and conveyed that we would not be charged for one night and that they arranged for us to go to another hotel. At approximately 10pm we packed up our things, vacated the room and walked to the hotel. The next morning we walked back with our things at 7:30am in the rain. We stored our bags and left for a tour of Palermo. There was one room available for us when we returned. We checked in and found that the room did not have a balcony. The window facing the road did not latch, the closing mechanism was faulty and did not close tight. The road is noisy with cars and pedestrians until late into the night, like 2am. Having a window that closes tightly is important. We did not feel the room was an upgrade, and would not have expected to pay more for any room we had to move to from the one we reserved. When we checked out there was no mention of a credit for the room we had to vacate at 10pm and move to another hotel. There was no understanding from the woman who checked us out as to what had transpired, nothing. We were asked to contact you. Why wasn’t this dealt with so that we were not inconvenienced by having to contact you after our return home, and spending 30 minutes going back and forth with the woman checking us out? We expected to receive a credit for the night we were not able to occupy our room, as we were told by the night manager the evening of the incident, and we were not expecting to pay for a hotel that we had to move to due to nothing we caused. You responded  "it was a surprise to us as well, but this is probably the disadvantage of being surrounded by a wonderful garden." A bad ac compressor and dozens and dozens of flies coming out of the ac duct into our room when we are ready to go to bed had nothing to do with your garden. Based on the multiple issues with the room, and how the credit we were promised for one night stay was ignored and brushed aside is bad management. I would not return and do not recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved this hotel during our 4 night stay. We stayed in the pink room upstairs with a huge window facing trees and their pool, and the patio faces the beautiful Mondello ocean. The hotel is away from the busy beach area so it’s relatively quiet with amazing sea views. The room is very clean, spacious and nicely decorated with artwork. The bed was super comfy and with high quality soft bedding sheets. They only have 8 rooms so we felt exclusive and comfortable without it being crowded and loud. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially the waitress who served breakfast and drinks at the pool was very attentive. The only small concern we had was the washroom sink wasn’t draining well but other than that this hotel was one of the best ones we ever stayed at.

Checked into this hotel Aug 10 2024 for a 3 night stay. Shortly after checking in, I was faced with a devastating phone call - that my aunt was rushed to the hospital and was dying because of blood loss. I had just got to the hotel and advised them of my emergency and that I needed to leave immediately. Hotel owner refused to have any compassion and refused to give me a refund for having to leave. I offered to pay for one night as a penalty loss but requested it to be considered to be refunded for the remaining 2 nights. Owner is a disgusting person. Monica Mirri. She didn’t care at all and said that she was at a loss. She mentioned she would consider refunding us ONLY if she could find someone else to book the room. She refused to speak to us - all communication was through a front desk receptions, Rosalba. The entire encounter was video recorded (and she threatened me about doing this) and I will be sharing across platforms.
