The best hotel we ever stayed in! The owners and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The hotel and rooms are all new and every detail of our room from the doors to the artwork was aesthetically pleasing.

Breakfast on the roof was with local ingredients and baked on premise. Throughout the day at the cafe, something new was being made and perfuming the air. 10/10 recommend

Lùme Ortigia is an absolute hidden gem. Perfectly situated just far enough from the busy streets to offer a peaceful retreat, yet close enough to have everything within easy reach. Staying here made us feel like we were living like locals, while still being in the heart of Ortigia.

The hotel itself is intimate and boutique, but with the highest quality in every detail. Every space is thoughtfully designed, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming. We felt so special throughout our stay, and every moment was an experience we’ll never forget.

One of the standout aspects was the incredible food at Caffè Allùmettes by Mattia. His modern twist on classic Italian dishes was a breath of fresh air, offering a beautifully elevated take on traditional flavours. It was the perfect contrast to the more traditional cuisine we’d been enjoying during our trip, and we loved it.

For anyone looking for a quiet yet central spot with a unique, high-quality experience in Ortigia, Lùme is an absolute must. We’re already dreaming of our return!

Wonderful spot in the heart of Ortigia. By far our favorite room during our two week Sicilian honeymoon. No detail is missed. We stayed in Secondara (I believe) and it was perfection. We loved the tub, bathroom, shower, bed, bedding, decor - really everything. It was SO quiet and spacious.

Compared to other hotels in Sicily, we felt the value was very fair. We would absolutely stay again and recommend. Everything was offered from lots of bottled water to robes to extra pillows to even small requests like wine glasses and opener. They even supplied fresh wine glasses for us each night which we particularly felt very seen by! These small touches can make such an impact.

Our only things we wished were different was our ac only got super cold in the morning, but we opened windows and were fine! We also wished there were eggs or a little more options like a quiche for breakfast. Overall though, this wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We were very, very content.

Try their recommended restaurants and bars! We also did a private sail with Ortigia Classic Boats (a classic sail boat) which was a highlight for us. Absolutely wonderful.

The hotel of my actual dreams. I was researching hotels across Sicily and came across Lúme. At the time I didn’t know much about Oritigia but I am soooo glad that I booked this hotel and have had the opportunity to experience this part of Sicily. The design of this hotel is absolutely dreamy. The attention to detail immaculate and the room was very spacious and had a beautiful standalone bath. The hotel is family run and has 6 rooms so we felt really lucky to have been able to book it. The staff is so helpful and personable and they all have excellent taste in food, things to do, and design. The chef honestly makes some of the best cakes and pastries I’ve ever had and is one of the only places that has speciality coffee. It rained for a few hours one day while we were there so we used to steam room which was so nice and relaxing. The roof is also beautiful and has a great view. Wish I could live here forever. Going to be so hard to leave!

What a wonderful experience for our first visit to Ortigia.
All the reviews are spot on but that special feeling of welcome home touched me from the moment we got out of taxi in front of the hotel .
We traveled all over the world, stayed in many hotels , Lùme is the only place we feel at home.
Our deepest appreciation to everyone work there and looking forward to come back again .
