Wonderful experience we had in this place.
We enjoyed our stay surrounded by nature. The view from the pool and the room were stunning.
I also really liked the design of the hotel, stylish but also had a rural feel. The hotel staff were very kind and friendly.
There are few places to go out and eat near here, but they offer a small lunch and dinner which were enough for us.
If I had to say something, the sauna and jacuzzi would have been better if they were ready to use. I just wish they had been warm enough when I used them. I'm sure they will be improved soon.

There were some forest fires and Mount Etna's small eruption, but they were not major problems. It seemed like an everyday occurrence in summer for the local people. Water shortage was also not a matter for the hotel.

Wonderful staying in this hidden gem, truly loved everything from the room to the aperitivo and wine tasting. Highly recommend to have a massage and enjoy the awesome wellness area.

Beautiful Stay at Dimora Cottanera – An Unforgettable Experience!

Dimora Cottanera is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived and were welcomed with a delicious cake, we knew this would be a special stay. The setting amidst the vineyard is breathtaking – a perfect oasis of peace and beauty.

The facilities are outstanding. The wellness area provided complete relaxation, and the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards was simply magical. The aperitivo experience was a highlight: refined bites, excellent wines, and the perfect ambiance to enjoy at sunset.

Every corner of Dimora Cottanera exudes luxury and charm, with great attention to detail and top-tier hospitality. It’s a place where you can unwind completely and fully enjoy everything the surroundings have to offer.

We can’t wait to return!

What a wonderful thing to find a place to be "better than advertised". It was late afternoon by the time we time we arrived at Dimora Cottanera, having left a hot and humid Palermo early that morning, stopped for a delightful lunch in Cefalu, drove through the beautiful Parco dei Nebrodi and then wound our way around the foothills of Etna to Castiglione di Sicilia. We had booked one of the suites with an outdoor bath and it was sublime! The room was sumptuous, spacious and very private. A divine place to return to after a day of exploring. We highly recommend using the outdoor bath! Its a wonderful place to unwind with a glass of delicious Etna wine.

We started each day with a delicious breakfast. Everything and anything you could hope to eat was available. Delicious cold meats, preserves, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurt and juices, and even eggs on toast for the Anglophiles. And perfect coffee!

We booked a Wine and Cheese wine tasting which took place across the road at winery. It included a tour of the wine-making facilities and processes which we found fascinating. Neither of us is a wine buff but we know what we like and we are open to trying new flavours. Etna wines are hands down the most delicious we've ever tasted and several bottles were transported home.

If you're looking for a luxurious but unpretentious stay in peaceful, beautiful surroundings with friendly and super professional staff, then this is the place for you :)

Spectacular hotel hidden in the countryside North of Etna. The little luxury hotel has a modern but ancient roman look alike style. Surrounded by vineyards, we had a great apperitivo arranged, enjoyed the pool, and our private small outdoor bathtub. The breakfast was the greatest we had in Sicily including not only sweet options. The personnel was very friendly and helpful.
We tried the etna white, made in the property, which was great. We did not take the winery tour unfortunately.

Overall, an upscale fantastic escape to the Sicilian countryside. 1 h away drive from Taormina or Catania but 100% worth.
