Easily the best restaurant we have been in Catania!

The donkey meat was an absolute adventure if you have never tried. I ordered the donkey stew which was delicious. The meat tasted a bit like beef, slow cooked brisket specifically.

The restaurant also offers a good variety of seafood and dessert options. The one worth mentioning was the Sicilian tiramisu cake which came in a glass jar and was not super sweet which I like 👍

The atmosphere is another great feature of this place. Each table was unique and it gives out a family dinner vibe which is great since we dined during Xmas holiday week.

The service was also excellent. The waiters speak good English and are very tentative!

Located in the heart of Catania, this restaurant is an absolute gem. The interior is wonderfully cozy, blending traditional architectural elements with local touches that create a warm and inviting atmosphere—I truly loved it.

The service was outstanding: professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. The staff not only took great care of us but also explained the origins of the local, high-quality ingredients used in their dishes, many of which align with the slow food philosophy.

We had an excellent dinner (see the photos!), complemented by a great wine selection. We chose a simple Nero d’Avola, which turned out to be absolutely delicious.

I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some of the best traditional Catanese dishes in the area. A must-visit!

Wonderful dinning experience. Good quality - price ratio in a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. No frills classic Sicilian cuisine very well prepared and presented. We loved the unexpected antipasti platter with a selection of mini breads. 5 star tiramisu.

This restaurant shouldn't be in the Michelin guide. The mixed reviews make sense, I'm joining Camp Disappointed.

Underwhelmed by the food:  nothing special, the pork was dry, and I expect more than a drizzle of balsamic glaze as sauce, where's the jus? KFC is opposite, go there.

The service: I'm still waiting for a toothpick and had to go inside and ask to pay the bill.

The atmosphere: we sat outside, they need more lighting, we weren't the only table using a phone torch to read it, no music no ambience, no nothing, just alot of screaming teenagers.

3 stars because it wasn't disgusting, and the food was edible. But we spent nearly €100 on 2x mains, 2x sides, water and wine. Again, go to KFC, I don't even like KFC.
