Maybe my favorite spot to eat at in Taormina. The Trattoria energy is there. The place is very calm and feels more on the fancy side than other restaurants we went to. Did not disappoint. The ratatouille and eggplant Parmesan were great apps. The bread was a bit harder than I desired but wasn’t bad. Came in very handy once the truffle pasta and spaghetti came through. Tiramisu was a perfecting ending 👨‍🍳. They were also sweet to split the apps into two dishes to make it easy to share.

It was a choice of two restaurants to choose from and rock paper scissors this one one or should I say we won. There were six seats on the upper patio that overlooked the beach from a distance. We didn’t have reservations and we got there at 6:30 and were able to get one of the tables up there. Good selection of food to choose from, and plenty of wine to choose from. Unfortunately, the bottle we wanted was it available so we chose Merlot and it was good. We ordered a tomato salad first, and then our entrées came later. All the food was fabulous. We never felt rushed and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Service was very professional, and the food was top-notch, I would highly recommend this place.

This place was very good. We had the Caprese Salad, Artichoke Salad and pasta. Everything was super tasty and I hope I could eat more of each. The artichoke salad was surprisingly good - I didn’t expect much from the sound of it. We almost didn’t get a table so maybe prior reservation is the best idea.

By far the best meal of our visit in Taormina, off the beaten path of the tourist traps and lesser establishments. This is a family run place, with what appeared to be dad and sons taking the orders. We entered without a reservation on a Friday night and were seated within about 5 minutes despite a packed house.

Everything we ordered was good, with high notes going to the carbonara, the seafood pasta, and the artichoke/shrimp salad starter. The lamb chops were also good, but the weakest dish of the bunch as the breading took away from the flavor of the lamb.

The house wine (Nero d’Avola) was one of the better ones we have had. The service by one of the young sons was excellent. He remembered our order perfectly and knew the specials by heart. Overall, a really fantastic experience to cap our visit to Sicily. Grazie to the family.

Food was really disappointing, lamb with breadcrumbs was overcooked and soggy, grilled vegetables were cold, dry and tasted like cardboard. prawn pistachio pasta was better but mediocre at most 😒the service and atmosphere were pleasant but not worth the price tag 😔
