Interior was Very special and impressive. Packed with people was really not helping the experience though. Despite that it still made you want to take a good look at every single detail. There was construction so quite a shame.

Well worth Visiting. Very rich in history , the cathedral is impressive - grand !

The full admission ticket gets you in the church , museum and the tower museum (tower allows visitors to walk around the church on the top ) offering great panoramic views of Monreale and Palermo.

P.S. to avoid disappointment check opening times there is a lunch break while it’s closed .

This special cathedral has to be one of my most favourite religious places to visit. The outside does not give away anything of the surprise that is awaiting for you inside. From the moment you enter inside, you are enchanted by the pulsating glimmer from all the gold mosaics that are embedded all through out the inner walls. The walls and columns are richly decorated and portray various stories from the Bible. People back then could not read and there was more than two languages spoken in the area so pictures was the solution to spreading the scripture to the masses. I was spellbound from the start to the end!

Absolutely amazing. The detail of all the mozaic work is astounding. Lots to see in the cathedral, museum and cloisters. Just be warned that they shut for lunch and so close off areas even if you are in already but they do allow re-entry on the day.
Town is nice too and the drive up is well has some amazing views.

Beautiful building in great condition and a wonderfully well looked after piece of history.
Nice to have a guide to get a better understanding of the architecture and details of design.
Quite a few stairs to walk up, but worth the climb.
