A fabulous hotel in a quiet area but very well placed for the wonders of Florence.
Had an excellent three night stay at the Hotel Kraft.  Room was very comfortable with great facilities and the heated pool on the roof is very warm and welcoming. The hotel is situated a scenic 15 minute walk along the Arno from the centre of Florence. The bar terrace has lovely views of the city and the staff are very welcoming and friendly.

I stayed for 15 nights,
From the moment I arrived at the hotel the front desk was so  welcoming.  because of my extended stay they upgraded me to a bigger better room, which was amazing. The restaurant on site was delicious. Whenever I had a question they answered it one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and I travel quite a bit.. When I return to Florence I will be staying here. I highly recommend this hotel truly amazing two weeks with them

We stayed at this hotel from February 14th to 16th. My experience was deeply disappointing due to a series of unacceptable issues, including a lack of hot water, noisy and cold room, and highly unprofessional, discriminatory remarks from a front desk staff.

The most concerning issue, however, was the behavior of the front desk staff during our interactions. Not only was he extremely rude, but he also made discriminatory gender-based remarks, which is entirely unacceptable in any professional establishment. Such behavior reflects poorly on the hotel's customer service standards and creates an unwelcoming and hostile environment for guests.

People from another room were also complaining that there was a leak from the ceiling…

We stayed there with my siblings on our Tuscany trip, the hotel location is superb, minutes from every where. The have a very nice roof top, serves breakfast, may be lunch and dinner. We had breakfast there and also drinks before heading out for dinner. Our room was very small so next time will Book a bigger room, 20m or bigger. Overall a great place to stay

We stayed in the Deluxe room with a balcony. The room was beautiful, however room #403 is beneath the rooftop kitchen. With that, the noise is absolutely terrible, late into the night and early in the morning. After a night of no sleep, we asked the front desk for other options. The blonde woman at the front desk was SO kind and moved us into a quieter room. Great service, beautiful hotel, and large rooms.

We stay at hotel Kraft this summer during a family vacation. The hotel was great! An outstanding feature was the breakfast which served one of the best cappuccinos during our entire 10 day Italian tour and an great variety of food, including omelets. The maître d' (in which we nickname Mr. Italy) during breakfast was amazing with helpful tips regarding Florence and must places to visit. The views from the restaurant and pool were amazing. Our room was quite spacious and clean. Overall, an excellent experience!

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed. I stayed for 4 days in the beginning of May. Although not in the middle of the bustle, it is a 10-15 minute walk to most of the spots you need to or would like to be (i.e. the train station, Palazzo Pitti, Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio). The room was spacious with simple but lovely furnishings and decor. It was very clean and the staff continued to keep it tidy my entire stay. My room also had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. With so much to see and do, I admit I underutilized it. Another thing I underutilized was the heated pool on the roof. There were lounge chairs and the bar and restaurant right below. The view from the rooftop is just amazing. An ideal place to have a drink and unwind before you dive into your night's festivities or your daytime excursions. The restaurant had a small menu, but enough variety to satisfy most I feel. They also have a lovely buffet breakfast there each morning. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Very kind, very accommodating, and super helpful. They communicated with me even before I arrived to get an idea for when I would check in. Although my room was not ready when I arrived, they immediately put me at ease and took my luggage so I could sit on the rooftop with a drink to unwind. Definitely necessary as I had been up for over 24 hours with the flights and travel to get there. They were just fantastic. Everyone I interacted with also spoke English. If (when) I come back to Florence, I will definitely be staying here again. I absolutely loved it.

We stayed at Hotel Kraft in November 2021, and we loved it! The location is great- a quick walk to the river for beautiful views, not too far from il Duomo, Galleria de Academia, Ponte Vecchio, Plaza de Michaelangelo...all of the sights are in walking distance. We had a wonderful balcony off our room where we sipped wine in the evenings. Having a delicious cappuccino on the hotel rooftop in the mornings was among my favorite memories in Florence. I'm only sad I didn't bring a swimsuit for a dip in the heated rooftop pool! The views from the roof are spectacular and perfect for an aperitivo in the evening at sunset. The room was clean and had anything we needed, and the staff was so kind and helpful and spoke enough English to communicate easily. I definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in beautiful Florence!

Were do I begin to tell the story of a beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city. It's takes about 10-15 minutes walk to go to town. The staff were really nice and gracious. Rooms are big, nice , airy, clean and high ceilings compared to the small packed Rome hotels made for little people. Breakfast is on the roof top served in white crispy linens. I can't say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend to my fellow travelers and definitely my go to hotel on my next trip to Florence

Hotel Kraft was our base in Florence. It is a very nice older hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Our room was two double beds put together. Amenities included a TV, hair dryer, chairs, and a wooden writing desk. There was a wooden wardrobe instead of a closet, a touch I liked. I also very much liked the Italianate stye of the building. Free WiFi is available in the lobby. However the lobby also doubles as a bar and lounge so seating for Internet browsing is limited. There is a also a Internet workstation in the lobby, next to the bar, with no charge. A real attraction of Hotel Kraft is the roof terrace. The enclosed lower level includes a dining area and lounge. Breakfast is served here and you have a wonderful view over Florence at sunrise. The open upper level of the roof terrace has an outdoor pool and deck. Spectacular views of Florence and the Arno River at all hours from here, especially at night with the illuminations. The hotel is a bit removed from the historic center of Florence We found it to be about a 12 block walk from Piazza della Repubblica at the edge of the historic center to the hotel.

Room was extremely spacious. Breakfast buffet was included with the stay and food selection was fantastic. The room was spacious and light and airy. So perfect if you like luxury travel with family and kids. The location was only a short distance to the train station and easy access to public transportation. Right in the center of the city where you can go to many different touristy spots. Or go dine with the locals.

This is a belated review of the hotel. Our family of four, which included my wife and I and our two sons, aged 20 and 23, stayed at Hotel Kraft for 3 nights in May, 2019. Our room was spacious, well-kept well-appointed and clean. We particularly enjoyed the roof terrace and the glorious view of Florence. The breakfast buffet offered a generous variety of foods. Offerings were tasty but standard. The dining room host, Roberto Paolini, was most charming, personable, and demonstrated genuine interest in his guests. His sense of humor was sharply honed, slightly quirky at times, with clever, playful undertones. Roberto proved memorable and he remains one of the highlights of our stay at Hotel Kraft.

I recently stayed at hotel Kraft for 4 days during a business trip in Florence. I was charged 214 Euros per night for the room and although the customer service at the reception was great at all times and the location was also very convenient, I was not completely satified with the hotel and found it quite overpriced and outdated. The pros are: -Friendly reception staff, especially Alessandra -Great view from the top roof -Location, at a walking distance from the Santa Maria Novella Train station -Quiet neighborhood -My room had a very nice, newly decorated bathroom -Free wifi The cons are: -The safe in the closet - Did not have a key nor a code, hence it was useless. - The breakfast buffet. We are in Italy, the homeland of coffee, and yet I had to get coffe from a machined coffemaker. -The hotel advertises a breakfast buffet, however when I went for breakfast I was charged 2 Euros for a glass of orange juice. Really?! -My room was dark and had a view on the opposite buiding. The walls are REALLY thin and I could hear everything that waa going on on the adjacent rooms, from bodily noises to private moments. This proved to be quite challeging as several times I was woken up in the middle of the night due to such noises and activities. For this price, I expected better. Definitely in need of some improvements before reaching 4 stars material.

We stayed two nights last week here. The roof terrace was wonderful. Great views, great breezes, and the wait staff was great. The room was adequate. As what seems to be a common issue in Italian hotels, the air conditioning wasn't great. It wouldn't go below 20 Celsius. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping especially since we hit Florence during a heat wave. The bathroom was nice though it was quite a climb to get into the tub/shower. Quiet neighborhood, friendly receptionists.

Out of all the hotels we've stayed at on our travels, this is one of the best. The attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff cannot be understated. Everyone we asked a question of was very helpful and professional. The room was gorgeous. High ceilings, classic furniture with modern touches. Bathroom was huge and immaculate. Balcony was a very nice touch and added a nice evening 'in' while having wine watching the sun go down. Rooftop pool is excellent, especially on hot days. Can get crowded as you would expect but not overly so in our experience. A highlight was the breakfast. Staff was extremely friendly and interesting to talk to. The food and drinks were all excellent. For a breakfast that's included this went above and beyond in selection, quality and taste. Just phenomenal. The view from the rooftop restaurant was another plus on top of plusses. Will definitely stay here again.
