The best place in the whole of the Dolomites, run by a devoted family that love what they do, you can see it in the decor and the flower arrangements. The food is top notch MICHELIN STARS… the views to die for … heaven on earth!

This hotel is perfect, flawless. The service is impeccable, the half board dinner option was delicious and great value, attentive dinner staff, very good options for vegetarians/pescetarians/meat lovers. Gorgeous spa and amazing views from the whole hotel. It is about a 3 min drive away from the town which we were hesitating about at first but the driver is ALWAYS there and couldn't be more helpful, kind and joyful. The hotel will help you with ski hire and drive you to the rental shop. Look no further for your trip to Madonna di Campiglio. We had the most perfect stay and will come back again and again

The Bio Hotel Hermitage is magical; we told our friends they MUST come here before they die!  We spent a week last month hiking on magnificent trails, all within walking distance.  The view from our balcony (and from everywhere in the hotel) is spectacular, the hotel is charming and quiet, and the two restaurants (including one with a Michelin star) are very good.

The staff speaks excellent English and each day the owner, an elegant woman who knows the nearby mountains like her own backyard, gave us our hiking assignment.  We saw unforgettable views of other mountains, boulder fields from departed glaciers, and waterfalls.  And it's Italy so you can get a 4 course meal mid-day at the top of the myriad ski lifts.  We are veteran travelers and have visited many memorable places but this was one of our favorite vacations ever.

Regarding covid, we felt much safer in northern Italy than in the US; people there are vaccinated and wear masks.

We've been several times and it's a great hotel - family run, big enough to have everything you need including a decent indoor pool and spa, but small enough to be personal. The location is lovely, in a quiet wooded spot just outside Madonna. Rooms are good and service excellent. Most people go half board - superb breakfast, very nice dinners - this year the food was a bit fussy for my personal taste, but they have a Michelin star for their restaurant so that may be the reason. They also do excellent tea time pastries included and a minibus service to the lifts. All staff very friendly. Madonna itself is low built, 3 and 4* family run hotels with some good cafes - the slopes are varied, maybe not Val d'isere, but pretty good. Excellent independent-run ski restaurants. Efficient lifts and snow making means conditions are always good, even though it sometimes gets busy at peak as the area is popular now with Poles and Czechs - overall, magical place, very friendly, the Dolomites beat the Alps in my view!
