For the price and location, this Florentine hotel is exceptional. It is well-staffed by a really nice group, who engage you in a positive and welcoming fashion. They take their cue from the guest in an unforced manner. Another positive sign was that the hotel seemed to attract a good range of clientele, who added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. The cooked breakfast perfect. I cannot understand, for example, how so many other hotels mess up scrambled eggs or grilled/roasted tomatoes. The rooms are fine. They are excellently cleaned and the toiletries are lovely. The showers worked perfectly. (Praise the heavens!) The cleaning staff are nice, conversational, and helpful. Some visitors will worry about the hotel’s age and occasional signs of wear and tear. Yet I have stayed in outrageously expensive top-end hotels where the deterioration is worse and truly unacceptable, for which they are never forgiven.

We have been staying at this hotel since 2017, five times during the years. We have always loved it. This year I booked an executive room thinking it was a step up from a classic room but in opinion was worse. To be fair last time they upgraded us to a suite, which I wish I booked after seeing the executive. Also last year the hot water didn't really get hot ( I did not say anything because the room was nice otherwise) This year the water is hot but the TV goes in and out, the room really could use an upgrade for the price, and the front desk (not all just a few) are indifferent. Huge plus is the breakfast staff, bar staff, the security guards, and housekeeping. Unfortunately I am going to consider other hotels in the future. Not saying it's a bad hotel just not what it used to be

Ran across this Google post this morning and it brought back such fond memories.  The hotel experience was very nice.  Included breakfast each morning in a beautiful setting.  The hotel was centered within walking distance of so many major sights.  Florence is my go to city for my home base in Italy.  Within a few hours by train or charterbus to everything.  Loved it!

We loved this hotel and its location! Breakfast was very good and in a beautiful room. The staff were very helpful and polite. Although it rained while we were there, the bar and outside roof lounge was very nice with beautiful views. Service was fabulous and very attentive. We can’t say more about the fantastic location. Hotel and rooms were nice and clean!

Location: great location by the river.
Rooms: clean and well maintained.
Staff: friendly staff, all smiling
Breakfast is in a beautiful dining room. All is good, only it would be better if we don’t have the same breakfast everyday.
Rooftop bar has a great view, and people there is very nice.
