There are many hyped Restaurants with amazing ratings that fall short of their praise but Il Vezzo definitely isn‘t one of them. The menu is pleasantly small but truly inspired - vegetarian options included, which is noteworthy in Firenze, I find. We asked for wine recommendations and they turned out to be excellent. The dishes were poetry, both in taste and visually. Everything was fresh, served hot and on point. Every dish had a surprising twist that left me guessing what a particular taste was. We were also delighted about the eclectic but very fitting plates. Even the physical menus were elegant and of elevated quality. The service was Perfect: friendly and extremely professional. Every dish was introduced and explained (in excellent English!), we were served promptly but never hastened. The price is, in my opinion, more than fair for what we enjoyed.
I would have made more pictures but I was too excited to hold back.

To start, the most wonderful experience. Welcoming atmosphere and helpful people. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the cheese appetizer and gnocchi. Fantastic wine. The crust on the Florentine steak was amazing, though I wish it had been less chewy and more melt-in-mouth tender.

Had our best meal in Florence here!
Not sure why this got deleted the first time: all photos were straight from my phone. I took them myself. I typed up the review and didn’t even spell check or use any AI tools to make it look better. Hopefully this edit would do. Good restaurants deserve to be recognized.

Friendly staff, especially our server. She carries a great uplifting energy and makes us feel so welcomed.
Food was absolutely fantastic and creative at the same time.
Small and intimate space but relaxing and cozy. It’s on our list to come back to when we’re back in Florence next time.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Il Vezzo!! We went on the sunday and the restaurant was mellow in terms of guests but the service and food was remarkable! Our Server Rocco was personable, funny and made excellent recommendations for food and wine. Definitely recommend the gnocchi which is a slight twist from the traditional but one of the best we’ve had. We also loved the Florentine Steak and Tiramisu!!

This place truly lives up to its review serving tasty and high quality food. Was served an entree of pumpkin puree with pecorino cheese foam and a small piece of pork belly that was absolutely delicious! Shallow frying the gnocchi rendered it with a crispy exterior and a soft interior, coupled with the porchini mushroom cream - heavenly! Had the fish marinated in white miso and the chef totally nailed the cooking of the fish as it was flaky and such a pleasure to eat. Our only gripe was that the seasoning of the fish was a tad salty. You must come by here if you’re in Florence! The attentive and generous service was the cherry on top!
