What a wonderful experience to eat like locals amongst locals! The prices and value are unbelievable.  There are daily lunch specials, that are targeted towards to serving accessible, quality meals to at affordable prices.

There is a queue that builds before opening but everyone moved orderly. The hustle of the wait staff kept on top of order fulfillment.

Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant, recommended by my host. My expectation was not high at the beginning, but had a pleasant surprise. Pappardelle with beef sausage is okay. We ordered pizza with sausage and pepper, which is quite delicious. Sauce is tasty, peppers are fresh and sweet. Roasted pork rib is stunning. The portion is bigger than I expected and also tasted great. Price is very reasonable, especially in a place close to the central travel zone. Highly recommended.

The best T bone steak we had in Florence. The meat is so tender and juicy, the potato is sweet and with the just right soft texture. We highly recommend it.

We love their seafood rice pasta as well. Full of mussels, clams, and shrimp, each seafood is in-depth with the juicy sauce. Every bite is a bonus.

My kids’ favorite is their pizza and dessert. It is a pity that by the time we ordered, their Tiramisu was sold out. I would definitely love to try that next time when we were in Florence.

Went for lunch at friend's recommendation for the osso bucco, as didn't want a late dinner. There was a queue when we arrived, but put our name down and was told wait was about 10-15mins. Lots of people coming and going. We saw the special lunch menu and went for that instead (still quite a bit of choice). Excellent value, tasty homely food and excellent service. Hard to beat. Spoke to a few people who had been before and was told lunch menu changes daily.

I found this place online while browsing. I was in Florence for one week and this restaurant was the highlight of the trip. Not just the food highlight. I was travelling with a friend and we went there 4 times The service is great, staff are really friendly and service is  prompt. The food is delicious. We had the 32€ menu which includes a starter,  bistecca , dessert,  coffee and wine/water. It was incredible.  The meat was the best I've ever had. We couldn't believe it. Starter choice is good and great cheesecake/ tiramisu for dessert. On other occasions we tried pasta dishes, lemon  chicken another steak, chestnut budino caramel. All of it was exceptional.  We really felt at home there  . Big shout out to Filippo,  he was very friendly,  great waiter. Thanks for the Gelateria recommendation.Many thanks Filippo you deserve a raise !. Book to avoid disappointment,  the 12€ lunch is amazing with lots of tradesmen and locals eating there at that time, that speaks volumes. I cannot say enough good about Osteria Centopoveri . For me it was the best thing about the trip.
