I recently stayed at this hotel in Florence, with my daughter and a friend and overall, it lived up to its description on the website. The location is ideal—close to the city centre and within walking distance of some excellent local restaurants. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, making check-in smooth and providing useful information about the area.

However, I did have a few disappointments. One of the waitresses, who worked during breakfast and dinner on weekdays, consistently appeared unhappy, which created a rather unwelcoming atmosphere. Eventually, I stopped approaching her for assistance. She wasn’t on duty on Sunday morning, so service felt noticeably warmer on that day.

Additionally, the hotel offers free bicycles, which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, about half of them were in need of repairs and couldn’t be used, which was a bit frustrating.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but with a few improvements, especially in customer service and bicycle maintenance, it could have been a more pleasant experience.

We spent 5 days at Riva Lofts and has a spectacular stay. The grounds were delightful, the staff very helpful and the room clean and comfortable. Even the pillows were great (compared to the usual fare). The breakfast in the am is so worth the money. The ambience of the room sets the tone. The croissants and other pastries (slightly warmed) were amazing!!! (Try the cinnamon rolls if they are around.) Fresh fruit and savory fare  also abound. The homemade granola was superb as well. In short I wouldn’t change a thing.

The property is so quiet compared to city hotels.  The lighting in the evening is fun and romantic. Hammocks and niches to sit made it so comfortable.  The rooms were lovely. Everything you need to be comfortable. I would suggest a couple extra hooks in the bathroom to hang up wet towels and maybe a bar in the shower for safety. Other than that I see no reason why I wouldn’t come back. A wonderful stay. And don’t forget to walk the Arno. The view of the men fishing along the banks was fun to watch.

We had a very nice 6 night stay here.  Our family stayed in two interconnected rooms.  There is a beautiful backyard area to hang out in.  The breakfast was delicious.  There are bicycles available to borrow and they are very convenient for getting around given the location.  The tram is also a short walk away.  The people working there were all very kind and helpful.  A very nice oasis from the hustle and bustle of Florence.

The design of the Riva lofts was exceptional! From the overall concept to all the little details. Even though it’s a tiny bit outside the historic centre, it’s just a gorgeous walk away or a few stops by tram.
The stuff was super helpful. Especially the prepared recommendations for restaurants bars and other things is a special little extra. We can only recommend to have dinner in the amazing restaurant which is part of the Riva Lofts.

Here for two nights in January.
Firstly the location, its a little out of the centre but perfect if you are arriving by car. They have parking very close by and it saves you having to drive into the centre. There is a tram stop close by however you can walk into the city centre down the river, its a perfect way to see Florence for the first time. May be a little far out for people wanting a central location.
The design of the hotel is a perfect mix of modern and traditional, there's only 9 rooms so you feel like you are in your own little space. They have a beautiful garden and a small pool which I'm sure would be perfect for warmer months.
The rooms are designed very nicely although personally I'm not a huge fan of duplexes. There's a small kitchen area and the mini bar was well stocked. The bathroom has malin and goetz products which are available to purchase. We had to ask for another pair of slippers and shower caps.
The bathroom could do with more ventilation and it has a fixed shower. Upstairs there's nice seating area and a bed, it's two singles pushed together with two single mattresses and double sheets.
The wardrobe was spacious if a little ill suited for the room.
The staff were excellent and super friendly.
Breakfast very nice in a beautiful building with a log fire. Also a great place to spend an afternoon with a good book.
There was no bloody Mary available at breakfast but I think this is a problem with italian hotels in general.
I would recommend this hotel if you want something unique just out of the centre where you can relax in an urban oasis.
