We had the most delicious “build your own” sandwiches and the woman working that day (Oct. 17) gave us friendly, honest, good advice on how to build our sandwiches. She listened to the flavors we liked but made sure we didn't over do it with too many competing tastes and they turned out amazing. (For example, I wanted to add an olive spread, and the woman felt like it would be too much, so then gave me some olive spread on the side, so I could try it with my sandwich, and she was right - it would have been too much.)  I had a vegetarian sandwich and my husband had meat in his. We also had a glass of the property's wine which as great and I highly recommend their wine tour. We were staying on the property, and it was a fun walk to the bottega. Also, I cannot say enough about the staff at Fattoria Lavachio!  So nice and helpful!

We stopped by this winery spontaneously and were absolutely thrilled. The staff were very friendly and informative.

We can highly recommend the wine tasting: You can choose between 3 wines for 12€, 4 wines for 15€ and 5 wines for 17€. The wine glasses were generously filled and the wines were simply wonderful. We finally decided to take two different red wines with us, which cost 14€ each.

The view from which you can enjoy these wines is equally impressive and idyllic. We also ordered a delicious bread topped with truffle cheese.

This spontaneous stop was definitely a little highlight of our stay in Tuscany. We can highly recommend this winery and will definitely visit again on our next visit to the region.
