Hands down the best sandwich I have ever had.  Don't go here if you are looking for a quaint atmosphere or short wait time, but if you want an amazing sandwich (for only 6 Euros!) this is the place.  I waited about an hour total at lunch time on a Sunday - they work hard to move that line fast, they have someone in the crown handing out menus but it will be a wait.  But it is SO worth it.

Sandwiches were pretty good but they don't give you any trays and the reason for this 1-star review is the low doorway leading upstairs that's not marked as a hazard. Hit my head so hard going up that the building shook. Even cut the top of my head. Have some respect for your customers and mark the door with some orange tape or at least a sign that says "watch your head."

The girl running the place was friendly and inviting. We instantly felt like we were wanted there, which was refreshing after we had felt like an inconvenience at some other restaurants during our trip. We both ordered the #8 which was delicious. It was salty, crispy, and full of flavor. We plan to return and try a different sandwich during our stay in Florence. It is more of a grab n go place with very little seating, but we were able to sit at the bar and eat. It was just too hot to linger in there.

My wife and I ate here July 21, 2024 and had a fabulous experience. The food was amazing as are the prices. We ordered two sandwiches, La Rosa (prosciutto, brie, truffle cream, arugula) and La Pinocchio (prosciutto, goat cheese, sauteed mushrooms, arugula) and they were both spectacular. 16.50 euros for two VERY filling sandwiches. These are the expensive sandwiches on the specials menu. The typical sandwiches on the regular menu are priced between 6 - 7 euro each.
