This restaurant was wonderful. Advise reservations, but they got us in at 7pm on a Sunday without them. The pasta was perfect, they even brought out a little sample of the "John Travolta" special for us to try. Staff is super attentive and helpful with the extensive menu. We couldn't resist trying two desserts... the chocolate "cake/ not cake but can't tell you what it is because it's a secret" was to die for.

Absolutely loved our experience at Il Profeta.  It was recommended by friends and I am so happy we were able to get a reservation.  It was by far the best meal that we experienced during our trip to Italy.  Claudio, Claude and the rest of the team were fantastic!! The wine, food and service was exceptional.  I told everyone we came across during our travels that this was a must visit restaurant and will continue to recommend to all of my friends at home who are traveling to Florence.  I can't say enough about this 4th generation family owned restaurant.  Thank you Claudio for an amazing memory of my time in Florence!!  You also made a tiramisu lover out of me which I never thought was possible.

I got the steak and the arugula salad both were very good. The steak was humongous though so make sure you go in hungry and perhaps order one steak to share and another dish. I can’t say enough about how lovely the folks were, I ate so much but they kept on bringing me little treats which was sooooooo cute . Loved them , going back for their iconic pasta

We were looking for a place for dinner and attracted by the Michelin guide signs on the window, turned out was the right choice. Seafood pasta and truffle pasta are so delicious, probably the best we ever had. The owners of restaurant were so friendly, funny and generous, all guests at that night received a free John Trivolta pasta for tasting. The best restaurant we have had in our 5 days trip in Florence.

My family and I went here on New Year’s Eve and we absolutely loved the meal and the experience. The owners were super sweet and we felt like part of the restaurant family. The food was to die for. Especially the John Travolta pasta with pinks sauce. We two jars! The service was very friendly and welcoming. The owner would come over and check on us and crack jokes during the meal. Tho top off the evening, the owners distributed New Year’s decorations to every table. If I’m ever back in Florence I will 100% come back.
