Hotel Baglioni – A Truly Unforgettable Stay

Our stay at Hotel Baglioni in Venice was nothing short of extraordinary. We visited for a symbolic ceremony and could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay. The hotel is ideally situated, allowing easy access to all the beauty and charm Venice has to offer.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an environment that felt warm and inviting, almost as if we were staying in a family home rather than a hotel. The attention to detail in every aspect of our experience was impeccable. The rooms were beautifully designed, offering both luxury and comfort, and the breakfast spread was outstanding—delicious, abundant, and catering to a variety of tastes.

What truly set our experience apart was the exceptional customer service. Despite the hotel being fully booked, every interaction felt personal and tailored to our needs. A special mention must go to our concierge, Antonio, who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was seamless and unforgettable.

Because of this incredible experience, we plan to return to Venice yearly—and without a doubt, Hotel Baglioni will always be our home away from home. Until our next visit!

One of the few family owned luxury 5 star hotels in Venice. They make you feel right at home and the staff is very dedicated and professional. You can reach the hotel by water taxi amd the Gondola service is right next door!

If you want a hotel that is close to all of the action you can’t go wrong here. Right next to St Marc’s Square with a wharf for water taxi’s at the door - (highly recommend this as your introduction to Venice).
The front desk staff are very helpful and welcoming.
The rooms are on the smaller size but comfortable. Our room had a small balcony with views to the canals and opening of the grand canal.
The bathroom has nice amenities, bidet but was very much a “one person at a time” room.
The showers were large, good hot water with average water pressure.
What let this hotel down was the breakfast room.
The room is beautiful however there are couches in the room that are worn to the point of stuffing coming out. The chair I had breakfast on today was rickety.
The food was ok but nothing to write home about. The juices were watered down, the selections felt like they were checking boxes. This morning they ran out of salmon and never bothered to replace it in the 40 min we spent in the room.
The coffee is ok but obviously comes out of a machine.
Staff in the room were variable depending on who the “head” waiter was. There seems to be an odd hierarchy  system where all the staff had to report to him. If he was in a mood *4 out of the 5 days we attended* they were on edge.
Communication was clearly poor. We ordered pancakes with strawberries and bananas. We’re told there were no strawberries, but when they arrived it was covered in strawberries. All very odd.
Last gripe of the breakfast room is a two tiered menu system. There is the buffet, then the menu options, some are free and then the other parts are outrageously marked up. €20 for eggs Benedict!!! These were free on the menu at other hotels both in Venice, Rome and Florence.
Overall I love the hotel however the breakfast, one of the deciding factors for my hotel choices, was a huge disappointment. If the hotel is heads the way of the breakfast room I can see the starts dropping off quickly.
Hotel Luna please take note, there are people like me who use the breakfast as a key criteria for choosing a hotel!!!

This hotel is in a great location. My first trip to Venice I was very happy, easy to get to sights. Dominique front desk staff, so very friendly and knowledgeable about everything!
Room was so regal and comfortable bathroom spacious beautiful.  Grazi

We stayed four nights at Hotel Luna. Every staff member we interacted with was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room (junior suite) was very comfortable, well equipped and maintained daily. We enjoyed the benefits of a luxury hotel but with a more personal touch here, thanks to the hospitality of the staff. Beyond the welcoming spirit and exceptional accommodations, we enjoyed the superior location as well. Right on the edge of the Piazza San Marcos, we had quick access to many of the locations we wanted to visit. We could not have asked for a better location to access so many points of interest while also enjoying very comfortable accommodations each night. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Venice. We look forward to returning in the future.
