Our recent stay at JW Marriott Venice was, hands down, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had—even compared to Four Seasons and other top luxury brands. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with incredible warmth and hospitality. The room upgrade was a wonderful surprise, but what truly set this stay apart was the exceptional service from every staff member.

Every interaction—whether with the front desk, housekeeping, or restaurant staff—felt genuine and thoughtful. They didn’t just provide great service; they went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. The little extras for our kids were especially memorable, showing a level of care and attention to detail that is rare in even the finest hotels.

We loved our stay. It was so nice at the end of the day to grab the complimentary shuttle back to the jw on a private island with all the amenities. The grounds were beautiful and the views of venice from the island were awesome.

The staff at the hotel were so kind and thoughtful. There were loving on the whole family as we celebrated my wife's birthday as well as our daughters engagement.

The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. It even had gluten free options including a lemon cake that was was delicious.

The rooms were immaculate and cleaned regularly. The fitness room was smaller but had great equipment.

If you are looking for something special during your visit to venice this is it.

We had the perfect experience staying at this hotel to unwind and wrap up our European trip after touring four different cities. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Venice's busy islands, this secluded hotel is exactly where you need to be. It offers the perfect setting to relax and enjoy every minute. The food was great, with a generous variety to choose from. We highly recommend this place for anyone seeking tranquility and a relaxing atmosphere!

This is a very interesting hotel in Venice.  On one hand, it's sort of fun to stay in a hotel that is on its own island.  If you want to just enjoy a spa resort with a distant view of Venice while you mostly relax and unwind, then this is a great place for that.

On the other hand, if your main goal is to explore Venice, then it's a little inconvenient to either have to wait for the shuttle boat or to spend the extra money on a water taxi for specially timed trips.

The breakfast was one of the best parts of our visit! The food was excellent with lots of choices.  The omelets were expertly crafted. And every person working the breakfast area was friendly and helpful!

We had a suite which was very comfortable with a huge, semi-private balcony looking over a lovely wooded area.

The island is expansive with plenty of trails to walk or jog.

The rooftop pool is very swanky with an awesome view of Venice.

The one major issue we had was during our initial arrival to the island.  We traveled with an elderly couple.  After the daunting train ride followed by the shuttle boat ride to the island, we found ourselves standing on the pier with all our luggage for the trip.  We had to haul everything up from the pier to the stairs and then up the stairs to the lobby.  We've always been offered assistance at every Marriott we've stayed at prior to this one so it just didn't meet our expectations for booking a Marriott over the other options in Venice.

Fabulous hotel, fabulous staff and fabulous location.

We booked JW Marriott for 4 days for my wife's birthday. I booked the private launch / boat from Marco Polo airport to the hotel - and I am so glad I did... The sun was shining, the water was still and the 45 minute journey to the hotel was stunning. Then when we arrived at the hotel at its impressive docking bay for the launch (even the wife was impressed!)
Rooms were great, Rooftop bar and pool are great and the grounds on the hotels private island were great. The free shuttle boat every 30 mins to main island of Venice was brilliant.
Just be aware of cost of drinks... €48 Euros for four bottles of beer but hey, for the experience a small price to pay
I highly recommend this hotel as the staff were really great and the main island of Venice is just great too for it's quaint alleys, architecture, restaurants and bars. (P.S. don't forget the private launch from the airport which will make you feel like 007 arriving at the hotel!!!)
Thank you JW Marriott - we will be back as that is the best city weekend break we have ever had for many years
