Overall, in my opinion this is a nice hotel. Although, there are certain aspects which I think need to be improved to consider this as 5 star hotel. We stayed in room 3303, which was in the other building. The room was modern, although the layout of the room was annoying as the entrance door was slanted which would hit against the bathroom door. There is also nothing separating random people entering the other building other than key card access, and the room door did not have a lock that securely locked. The bed was two single beds pushed together with 2 separate single duvets and the mattress was hard. We did not opt for the river view room, so outside our window was a construction site, although this didn’t bother us. And the television in the room is very outdated, no option to connect and all of the channels were Russian and Latvian with no choice to change the language/subtitles even though these were English movies. The public spa was nice, but extremely busy. I don’t understand why we have to book a time slot, but it is still overcrowded. I don’t recommend going in the evening. I recommend going first thing in the morning as you will have around 20 minutes to yourself, before people arrive. And when they do the jacuzzi is full and nobody will move. After the public spa experience, we decided to book the private spa. Which was only 10 euros more than the public spa, so definitely worth it. Although there is only a jacuzzi and a sauna, it’s very nice and personal. You can also order cocktails to the private spa. The customer service was great in this hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised with how helpful and friendly staff were. We ordered room service numerous times and the food was great as was the staff in the restaurant. As a Latvian myself, the breakfast was good, but quite limited if you are picky. I would consider staying here again, if they updated the television as we got very bored in the evenings and the mini bar started to tempt us.

Amazing hotel!

Rooms are modern and the wheelchair access room is really functional. The included breakfast is the best hotel buffet I’ve been too! The staff were lovely and helpful too.

Great features like a a microwave in reception for guest use and a bar in room which is well priced.

In a brilliant central location too!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Our room faced the river on the 6th floor and even with a busy road, there was no noise.
The room was well equipped and comfortable.
Breakfast was busy but great. Some nice Baltic offerings, pickled fish etc.
We had two trips to the spa, one complimentary and one paid for. It's a lovely spa, very relaxing.
I heartily recommend it!

I've mixed feelings about my stay.

1st, when I arrived, the  check-in process was a bit long to my taste.

I was promised that they would bring (ASAP) to my room slipper and robe so I could go to the spa. As I was waiting half an hour, they didn't bring me anything. I called the reception and then got an answer that the robe is on its way. I got tired of waiting and went to the spa. No lockers were available, and I had to go back up to my room to change. I also had to pay 4 euros for the robe. 😐 Also, 20 euros for the "spa" is ridiculous.

Dinner was amazing, just as breakfast.
The room was spot on, clean, and looked beautiful. Did not like the bed, though. Mattress was weird, hurt my back.

The location is good, the staff is friendly and helpful.

It was nice but I expected even better for such big price. For example the room had only a tiny window and the floor made squeaky noises. Also, the hotel had no parking for a car. However everything was clean and cozy, especially the spa area and the gym.
