I can recommend the place. Food is decent, portions big and reasonably priced. They serve Latvian cuisine, I would recommend grey peas served in rye bread with cheese sauce - very interesting and unusual. Also, I like their rye bread pudding - something you don’t get to try very often, especially outside of Latvia. You can also try the honey beer, but I think it’s more for girls. A lot of menu options are good, but not extraordinary.
Atmosphere: keep in mind that this is a pub, therefore don’t expect very clean tables and quiet atmosphere. This place is only quiet before 5pm, and gets very busy in the evening, especially when there is live music.

The decor is ye old town style, not elaborate but fun and cozy! many of the staff are very friendly and speak English and the restaurant provided an English menu.

The garlic rye bread is incredible and the serving size is huge

I ordered a bacon wrapped chicken liver dish to go and when I got back to my hotel and opened it, i realized it was definitely not chicken liver. The texture,, the taste,, the size,, all tell me that this is not chicken liver. I thought maybe there was a mistake and emailed the restaurant with a photo but they maintain that this is chicken liver.

A stupendous underground restaurant and bar with live music and a great ambiance to accompany.

There was a huge beer selection on tap. We tried a few different ones, and they were all very enjoyable. We weren’t sure what was good, so we asked the staff. All their recommendations were spot on, and very well received.

Food wise, we got a large meat selection sharing platter thing. This was a magnificent selection to eat, and even better looking. My one concern with this particular dish, is that it’s quite pricey. I didn’t do the math on it, but it seems that you’d be able to pick the individual small plates to make up the whole selection. You would get more of the meat parts, and less of the salads and decorations on the plate.

I do have to say overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend if you’re in Riga to come check this place out. It will for sure ve a memorable night.

What a great night out! The food was delicious and decent portions. Even though it was very busy, the waitress / hostess spent time with us helping to decide on the order, and was warm and welcoming. This gave us a very good and positive impression of Latvia. There was a fantastic warm and authentic atmosphere, and we loved the live music and dancing. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment!!

Amazing, Great atmosphere! Was super busy but it was buzzing. Our waiter was amazing and super helpful.

The food was lovely, traditional Latvian. Potato pancakes were great as was everything. Cocktails available in a jug which is great for sharing, beer can be bought like this too.

Live music is on also and they had a small dance floor.
