One of the best museums I’ve ever visited. The area is well planned and in good shape/size. It took us almost 4 hours to visit every part of the museum. There is also a cafe in the museum close to the entrance. A little far away from the museum but it’s worth the drive. There was also a man who sells his potteries in front of the potters house in the museum, pay him a visit! Great products

I really enjoyed it. The medieval buildings are well conserved and some of them can be accessed to see how the people of that period lived. The park is enough big to do a proper hike in the Latvian nature and embrace the quiet yet fascinating medieval environment.

We had a very good experience at the museum! Wonderful nature and lovely people who take the time to answer any questions and show you Latvian culture. A special thanks to Georg Kuklis for being the best fisherman in town! It’s very easily accessible from the centre of Riga, if you’re looking for a getaway from the city, this is it!

Best experience for those who love and appreciate culture, history and nature. Excellent setup and the informative guides in English. You will need at least two hours for a proper tour on foot.

Words do not suffice to express and capture the sheer magic that can be felt at this place. We had the great opportunity to experience it during the Autumn Light Path Veli exhibition, a unique, masterfully put together, light show that brought forth the incredible history and culture of the Latvian people.
