Maybe it was the wrong day. I am not generally snobby and I love everything from basic street food to starred places but going to the michelin starred restaurant sets some expectations. Not necessarily a luxury every time but at a minimum some attention to detail in certain areas- be it food or service or something else memorable. In our experience we really struggled to see anything remotely worth a Michelin star or even a mention apart from elevated prices of some items (main courses were somewhat reasonably priced). The food was acceptable for an affordable bistro but not at 1 * level,  and the service was just so so- polite but attention do detail was certainly lacking, they were friendly but a bit inconsistent and not attentive. I was trying to order some wine for the long time although I had already asked someone when ordering food but it took forever to get their attention and I was sitting hthough haf the meal without a drink. Same with the bill- in the end we just went to pay at the counter after wating for some time and failing to get someone to come. This would be perfectly fine in the busy bistro in the train station but not in the starred restaurant.  I really don't mind paying extra when you know there is a some effort and knowledge involved but this was definitely overpriced for what you get.  Another thing- they serve a little desert after the meal but as I went to the toilet- I saw all those little deserts layed out in the open next  to the entrance to the toilet in the summer heat. Come on 🤦🏻‍♂️!  I ordered the slice of tart and it was burned to charcoal on one side, bottom really overcooked. Sorry but when they charge close to 20 euros for a slice, it should be at a minimum baked correctly or taken off the menu if baking failed that day. To top it all- I checked the bill when we got home and some prices on the bill were a couple euros  higher than marked on the menu. Not a big deal but unpleasant.  Some reviews of this place  are good so maybe the chef and the management were all on holiday and we hit the worst day of the year… 😁 but judging from our experience (and also some friends who have been there on other occasion)  it was by far the worst michellin starred restaurant we have been to and in my own experience Guillou campagne  would not come on the "want to go back" list even if it was an averagely priced restaurant. Michelin should definetely revisit this place to check if they really want to still have them on their guide.

Exceptional atmosphere, beautiful garden, great a la carte choice! One of the best price/quality ratio among all the Michelin Stars restaurant I went to!

The place is really nice but it doesn’t worth the Michelin star. First because because we arrived and we had the amuse-bouche before ordering the food and the aperitif. After it took really long to take the order, my boyfriend asked for a beef medium rare and it was medium. I had a truffle codfish with almost no taste, dessert was fine and the wine from Luxembourg was excellent. The cutlery for the dessert wasn’t polished, there is no way for a Michelin star to accept that, as I work with hospitality I know that. Service could be better, could be more present asking if everything is fine after serving and taking the order not too long as they are many people in the service. Also paying more attention for the mise en place in the terrace, under the bread it was a fly. Besides that the place outside is charming.
