The experience was enjoyable overall, it fell short of the elevated standards I associate with a restaurant of this caliber.
The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was attentive, but there were some inconsistencies. While certain courses truly impressed with their creativity and flavor, others felt underwhelming or lacked the refinement I anticipated.

The house smoked octopus tacos was beautifully presented but the tacos bread was hard to eat as well as a spicy dish that waiter didn't mention it, but the main course the Slow Roast Belly of Local Pork was excellent and was expecting a different presentation of the Roasted Stuffed Quail as well as the quantity.

I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe the restaurant has the potential to deliver a truly stellar experience.

My experience at Giuseppe’s Bar and Bistro was a mixed bag, with exceptional service and atmosphere overshadowed by some disappointing aspects of the food.

While the service was exceptional and the atmosphere inviting, I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed with the food. The sauces, while creative, didn't always complement the meat dishes as well as I had hoped.

For example, the steak with tomato sauce was a bit overpowering, masking the natural flavors of the meat. Similarly, the duck sauce was a tad too spicy for my liking, overpowering the delicate taste of the duck.

However, there was a bright spot amidst the disappointment: the quail Wellington. This dish stood out as a highlight of the meal, with perfectly cooked quail enveloped in flaky pastry, providing a delightful burst of flavor with each bite.

In summary, while Giuseppe’s Bar and Bistro offers exceptional service and atmosphere, the food fell short of expectations in some aspects. Despite this, the standout dishes, like the quail Wellington, showcase the potential for culinary excellence at this establishment.

This was the nicest restaurant we’ve been to across our visits to Malta.

Chris and his team were absolutely fantastic hosts and we can’t speak highly enough of them. The poolside bar was open all day (and we certainly made the most of it), and the beautiful restaurant and terrace came alive in the evening. The colleagues couldn’t do enough for us and were exceptional.

If the team were great then the food was perfect. There was a great core menu plus specials for starters and main courses, including freshly caught fish. I had a gorgeous dish of mussels with chorizo and butter beans to start (although it was big enough that it could have been a main course!), then veal Milanese for main which was served with triple cooked fries and a rocket salad on the side. It was truly glorious and a really memorable meal. We drank my friend’s favourite New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and Chris and team remembered my favourite gin from the night before. We certainly didn’t have space for dessert so can only imagine how nice that would have been!

Our friend who is coeliac/gluten free had plenty of options to choose from.

I would absolutely recommend a visit to Giuseppi’s.

Very relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful terrace. Came right at open and was serviced right away. Had the artichoke hearts and veal brain fritters to start, then had the slow cooked lamb roulade. My favorite was the lamb while my partner was blown away by the artichoke. We had the Mai Tai drink which was strong and the spiced strawberry daiquiri which sold me on the jam rim. Attentive staff. Would definitly recommend.
