Aangename, informele ambiance. Wonderlijk genoeg niet vol op een zaterdag avond. Dit is niet in lijn met de positieve recensies die ik had gelezen. Aan tafel worden we al snel voorzien van verschillende amuses waaronder een kleine flammkuchen en een tartalette met pompoen op pompoen geserveerd. Fijne en lichte smaken. Tussendoor komt nog een hutspotsoep met kokos. Wonderlijk lekker.

Na de bestelling het hebben doorgegeven komen er 7 gangen welke worden voorzien van bijpassende wijnen. De oesters als eerste gang (waarvan één met Gin-Tonic) waren al bijzonder. Een mooi gerecht van fazant met ijs van mosterd en een bitterballetje van fazant was prachtig.

Seranoham en zoete aardappel (?) vergezelde het mooi gegaarde stukje witvis van de tweede gang. Lekker en met een heerlijke saus. Chardonnay ernaast om het geheel compleet te maken. Daarna Cocquille met spinazie, paddestoelen en beurre blanc deed er zeker niet voor onder.

En mooi stukje goed gegaard hert als hoofdgerecht met een rode saus met kruidkoek smaken en verschillende groenten. Heel treffend omdat het wildseizoen iets meer dan een week oud is. Complimenten voor het heerlijke gerechtje.

Niet iedereen aan tafel begreep de smaken van het pre dessert dat bestond uit mousse van geitenkaas op walnoten met appel. Mij smaakte het prima en ik vond het een mooi contrast met het zoete dessert. De cream sherry van Iberia (Pedro Ximenez) paste er perfect bij.

Tot slot een mooi dessert met onder andere ganache en dat werd geserveerd in een wolkje van rook en werd vergezeld van een prachtige Franse dessert wijn. Eten op niveau.

Na afloop trof ik de chef Herco van Arragon buiten op de parkeerplaats en kon hem nog een compliment maken voor de mooie gerechtjes en de uitgesproken smaken.

Hulde. Het is voor ons wat ver maar we zouden hier graag vaker willen eten. Dit kan zich met gemak meten met sterren restaurants in de Randstad.

Pleasant, informal ambiance. Surprisingly not full on a Saturday evening. This is not in line with the positive reviews I had read. At the table we are soon served with various appetizers, including a small flammkuchen and a tartalette with pumpkin on pumpkin. Fine and light flavors. In between comes a stew soup with coconut. Wonderfully delicious.

After you have placed your order, there will be 7 courses, which will be accompanied by matching wines. The oysters as the first course (one of which with Gin and Tonic) were already special. A beautiful dish of pheasant with mustard ice cream and a pheasant bitterballen was beautiful.

Serano ham and sweet potato (?) accompanied the beautifully cooked piece of whitefish from the second course. Tasty and with a delicious sauce. Chardonnay on the side to complete the whole. Then Cocquille with spinach, mushrooms and beurre blanc was certainly no less impressive.

And a beautiful piece of well-cooked deer as a main course with a red sauce with gingerbread flavors and various vegetables. Very striking because the game season is just over a week old. Compliments for the delicious dish.

Not everyone at the table understood the flavors of the pre-dessert, which consisted of goat cheese mousse on walnuts with apple. It tasted great and I thought it was a nice contrast to the sweet dessert. The cream sherry from Iberia (Pedro Ximenez) paired perfectly.

Finally, a beautiful dessert including ganache, served in a cloud of smoke and accompanied by a beautiful French dessert wine. Quality food.

Afterwards I met chef Herco from Arragon outside in the parking lot and was able to compliment him on the beautiful dishes and the distinct flavors.

Kudos. It's a bit far for us, but we would like to eat here more often. This can easily compete with star restaurants in the Randstad.

Fenomenaal. We komen hier met de familie als sinds voordat Herco en Cynthia het hebben overgenomen. Elke keer worden we nog steeds verrast. Geweldig. Onze complimenten, want wat een onvoorstelbaar goede maaltijd hebben we weer van mogen genieten. Echt een aanrader.

Vandaag hebben wij ons 12,5 jarig jubileum hier gevierd met een culinaire lunch.
Na een zeer hartelijke ontvangst van de gastvrouw namen we plaats aan een tafeltje aan het raam. Het handgeschreven kaartje op tafel gaf een zeer persoonlijke touch. Het eten was in alle opzichten verrassend en erg lekker.
Je ervaart de passie van de gastvrouw en de chef in alles terug.
We hebben enorm genoten van de culinaire creaties en de heerlijke wijn.
Wij komen hier zeker nog eens terug.

Today we celebrated our 12.5 year anniversary here with a culinary lunch.
After a very warm welcome from the hostess, we took a seat at a table by the window. The handwritten card on the table gave a very personal touch. The food was surprising in every way and very tasty.
You experience the passion of the hostess and the chef in everything.
We really enjoyed the culinary creations and the delicious wine.
