Via Dining City van een 4-gangen menu genoten bij dit mooie restaurant. De amuses, gerechten en pre-gerechten zijn stuk voor stuk heel lekker. Behalve dat elk gerechtje er geweldig uitziet tot in de puntjes wordt je qua smaak ook bij elk gerechtje verrast. Soms lijkt het of de obers nog een beetje onzeker zijn, maar vriendelijk zijn ze zeker en met ze lachen kan je ook. Erg genoten van dit bib-gourmand restaurant.

Qua sfeer een puntje lager gegeven. Ik kom vaker bij een michelin (aanbevolen) restaurant, maar heb nog nooit meegemaakt dat het keukenpersoneel met vaat, borden en andere zaken door het restaurant loopt. Dat gebeurt hier de avond door. Ook een aandachtspuntje is dat ze in de toilet kleine handdoekjes hebben om ke handen mee af te drogen, maar geen plek hebben voor de gebruikte handdoekjes. Die worden dus door iedereen op het randje of naast het toulet gedeponeerd. Met een richel en een bordje kan dit bijvoorbeeld makkelijk in het kastje onder de wsbak ofzo.

Enjoyed a 4-course menu at this beautiful restaurant via Dining City. The appetizers, dishes and pre-courses are all very tasty. Besides the fact that every dish looks great down to the last detail, you will also be surprised in terms of taste with every dish. Sometimes it seems like the waiters are still a bit insecure, but they are certainly friendly and you can laugh with them. Very much enjoyed this bib-gourmand restaurant.

One point lower in terms of atmosphere. I often go to a Michelin (recommended) restaurant, but I have never experienced kitchen staff walking through the restaurant with dishes, plates and other things. That happens here throughout the evening. Another point of attention is that they have small towels in the toilet to dry your hands with, but there is no room for the used towels. So everyone deposits them on the edge or next to the toilet. For example, with a ledge and a plate, this can easily be placed in the cupboard under the sink or something.

Mooie en smaakvolle amuses gevolgd door diverse heerlijke gangen. Totdat tijdens het hoofdgerecht op een van de borden onder de saus iets vreemds ligt. Dit blijkt een haar te zijn. De bediening geroepen. Tot onze verbazing begint de bediening aan tafel de haar te bestuderen. We verzoeken haar het bord mee te nemen. Vervolgens zien we hoe in de open keuken het bord en de haar wordt bestudeerd door de gehele keukenbrigade.

Wij hebben inmiddels onze borden leeg. We zeggen dat het nu vooral om gaat hoe ze het oplossen. Onze verbazing is nog groter als even later met het meegenomen bord bij onze tafel staat en zegt dat ze hebben het bestudeerd en de haar is van niemand van het team. We staan perplex. Wij worden door hem als leugenaar neergezet.

De tafelgenoot geeft aan het bord niet terug te hoeven. Het genieten is voorbij. We zijn compleet in shock.
We bestellen wel nog het toetje. De eigenaar komt zelf met de kaaswagen. Echter geen woord over de haar op het bord.

Bij het afrekenen hebben we de haar nogmaals benoemd. En vooral dat de reactie ons enorm heeft verbaasd.

Die haar is vies en vervelend. Maar wat ons het meeste shockt is dat we als leugenaar worden weggezet. Als de kok of bediening naar ons toe was gekomen, excuses had gemaakt en de vraag had gesteld of zij een nieuw bord had gewild (wat ze zou weigeren), dan was het opgelost.

Het feit dat het bord waar iedereen boven heeft gehangen om de haar te bestuderen was de volgende misser. Had het dan op een schoon bord geserveerd…
Het totaal gebrek aan empathie voor ons als gast maakt dat we hier niet meer terugkomen. Ondanks het lekkere eten, geen haar op ons hoofd (uh bord) die daaraan denkt.

Beautiful and tasty amuses followed by various delicious courses. Until during the main course there is something strange on one of the plates under the sauce. This turns out to be a hair. Called the waiter. To our surprise, the table service begins to study her. We ask her to take the plate with her. We then see how the entire kitchen brigade is studying the plate and its hair in the open kitchen.

We have now cleared our plates. We say that now it's all about how they solve it. Our surprise is even greater when a little later we stand at our table with the plate we brought with us and say that they have studied it and the hair does not belong to anyone on the team. We are perplexed. He portrays us as liars.

The table companion indicates that he does not need to return the plate. The enjoyment is over. We are in complete shock.
We'll still order dessert. The owner himself comes with the cheese cart. However, no word about the hair on the plate.

We mentioned the hair again at checkout. And above all, the response really surprised us.

That hair is dirty and annoying. But what shocks us most is that we are seen as a liar. If the cook or waiter had come to us, apologized and asked if she wanted a new plate (which she would have refused), then it would have been resolved.

The fact that the board that everyone hung over to study the hair was the next miss. Should have served it on a clean plate...
The total lack of empathy for us as guests means that we will not come back here. Despite the delicious food, not a hair on our heads (uh plate) thinks about that.

Vanavond hier verrassend lekker gegeten.
In eerste instantie zonder verwachting naar binnen gegaan. Bij binnenkomst een simpele, maar chique uitstraling. Het gevoel van een top restaurant, maar wel met een laagdrempelige sfeer. Na 3 heel leuke amuses werden de verwachtingen wel heel hoog. Een lekker vers broodje. En het 4 gangen menu van de chef heeft die verwachting dubbel en dwars waard gemaakt. Het voorgerecht was een plaatje en zo ontzettend smaakvol, het tussengerecht een fantastische combinatie. Het hoofdgerecht, dat verschillende texturen en bereidingen samenbrengt op één bord.
Tussendoor kwam een amuse, een ijsje  viel iets minder bij ons in de smaak, beide geen ijsliefhebbers.
Hierna volgde het kaasplankje, we mochten zelf kiezen, of onze wensen/smaken doorgeven en er zou een selectie gemaakt worden door de chef himself. Uiteraard voor de tweede optie gekozen. Vol passie vertelde hij over de kazen en kregen wij een mooi bordje met veel informatie over deze kazen.
Al met al een leuke, smakelijke avond en ook complimenten voor de heer die ons bediende, correct, vriendelijk en zeer gastvrij.

Had a surprisingly delicious meal here tonight.
Initially went in without expectations. A simple but chic appearance upon entry. The feeling of a top restaurant, but with an accessible atmosphere. After 3 very nice amuses, expectations became very high. A nice fresh sandwich. And the chef's 4-course menu has made that expectation well worth it. The starter was beautiful and so very tasty, the entree a fantastic combination. The main course, which brings together different textures and preparations on one plate.
In between there was an appetizer, an ice cream was a little less to our taste, both of us not ice cream fans.
This was followed by the cheese board, we could choose ourselves, or let us know our wishes/tastes and a selection would be made by the chef himself. Naturally, I chose the second option. He talked passionately about the cheeses and we received a nice plate with a lot of information about these cheeses.
All in all a nice, tasty evening and also compliments for the gentleman who served us, correct, friendly and very hospitable.
