My friend and I went to this hotel off of a recommended sister hotel in Brussels and were highly disappointed. As avid travelers we appreciate excellent value for your dollar. We were highly underwhelmed and frankly disappointed after a morning of travel. Customer serve service was tired and apathetic. House keeping is vacant and cleanliness is clearly not a priority. The lobby had food reminiscent and dishes from previous guests that were there way before we arrived. Don’t fall for the all inclusive concept as the fully stocked mini bar includes water, OJ, one beer and 3 espresso pods (non-working). The bathroom already has hair that clearly is not ours. The overarching vibe is an attempted art deco style.

Amazing hotel, very warm and charming! Everything is included in your stay from the items in your room bar fridge to the treats and drinks in the lobby.  The breakfast selection is outstanding and was delicious....and of course, included in the price!  I love coming to Amsterdam for business and pleasure, there is so much culture and beautiful buildings everywhere you look. The Dutch people are amazing, super friendly and they all seem to speak English, no trouble communicating anywhere!  I have been there three times now, and will always absolutely stay at this amazing hotel again!  The photos below are from my room and beside the canal directly outside the hotel.

We truly had the best stay at the Banks Mansion in Amsterdam. The staff is so kind and the entire stay was just a 10/10. We loved how walkable and central the hotel was. We also loved the cute lobby and snacks that changed every day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we already can't wait to come back!

Perfect hotel. For people from the US the rooms have AC, which I appreciated. They also have water, ice and a variety of drinks in the lobby that were included in your stay. The breakfast was also included and was amazing, I especially enjoyed the fresh orange juice every morning. The size of the room was also very good - not too small which many European hotels are. Finally the location was absolutely perfect. Easy to get to the train or walk somewhere. This area in Amsterdam wasn’t as touristy, which I really liked. Around Dam square was crazy but this location was absolutely perfect. 10/10 would definitely stay again.

This hotel was in a great location. It was pricey but we expected that. We did not receive great service upon check-in. When we arrived our rooms were not ready. We understood this as we had arrived early. We were told there was a $50 early check-in fee. We had three rooms reserved and elected to pay this fee for one room to hold our suitcases while we went out for the day. The front desk staff told us where our other two rooms would be and made no mention of the fact that if we did not pay the early check-in fee someone could take these rooms from us. We returned at 8:00 in the evening to complete our check-in and were told that one of our rooms had been taken. It was never explained to us that if we did not pay the early check-in fee our room could be taken by someone else. Very disappointing after a long day to come back to this mess. The woman in charge at the desk was not friendly and would make no concessions to us. She just told us this would be a learning experience for their staff. Again, very disappointing!!
