Generally a good if mixed experience. The Cesar salad and steak frites were very good and a reasonable price, spoiled by the fact that i was brought béarnaise sauce (which wasn’t very flavourful) instead of peppercorn sauce, and spent 10 minutes trying to notify a waiter before I resigned myself to eating as. Luckily, the steak itself and the sticky toffee pudding to follow were otherwise unimpeachable!

I visited this restaurant 2 weeks ago with my friends. Food is good especially seafood. Plenty of choice. Good for friends. Oyster, white asparagus and seared scallop don’t miss.

The story began in 1996, when on December 20th, the restaurant opened its doors within the walls of the restored engine room. This space was once home to powerful diesel engines that pumped water to serve the growing city. The structure’s industrial features, including high ceilings and preserved machinery, were carefully maintained to preserve its historical essence, creating a distinctive and atmospheric setting for dining.

In 2007, the Energetic Museum, which had displayed one of the original diesel engines that once powered the station, closed due to financial difficulties. Despite this closure, the restaurant continued to celebrate its historical roots, ensuring that the legacy of the water pumping station remains alive through its architecture and ambiance.
