We had an amazing stay at Sir Adam Hotel in Amsterdam! At first, we were a bit apprehensive about the location across the water, but it turned out to be perfect—just far enough from the hustle and bustle to be peaceful, yet still incredibly easy to get to the main town center. The hotel itself was spotless, and the rooms were extremely comfortable with a fun, funky vibe. While not overly large, the rooms were perfectly designed to accommodate everything we needed.

The area surrounding the hotel was fantastic, and the restaurant was a highlight—especially the delicious breakfast! The staff were all extremely friendly and went out of their way to be accommodating. If you’re looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Amsterdam with great access to the city, I highly recommend Sir Adam Hotel!

Review of Sir Adam Hotel, Amsterdam

Our stay at the Sir Adam Hotel in Amsterdam was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we checked in, we were impressed by the unique, eclectic vibe of the hotel. We booked a family room on the third floor, and it turned out to be an incredible choice—our corner rooms offered a spectacular view. We could see the canal, as well as across the waterway to the transportation station, making for a picturesque and dynamic setting.

One of the biggest surprises was how convenient the location actually was. Initially, I was worried about being far from the city center, but the free ferry made everything incredibly accessible. In just minutes, we could cross over and grab food at the transportation station, where there was a great selection, including Julia’s for pastries and even a pharmacy for any essentials. The seamless connection to public transit made exploring the city effortless.

The room itself was a highlight—delightfully quirky with a record player in each space. It was such a fun touch to pick out records and set the mood. And the beds? Easily some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on in any hotel. The attention to comfort was evident.

The hotel’s downstairs lobby was another standout feature. It had a lively and welcoming atmosphere, with games like ping pong and a great bar area for drinks. It made for a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant’s food was just okay—not particularly memorable—but that was far from a dealbreaker given all the amazing dining options nearby.

What truly set Sir Adam apart was the outstanding front desk staff. They were incredibly helpful, making sure we were settled in and providing great recommendations. Their hospitality made our experience even better.

Looking back, I wish we had stayed longer. The combination of the fantastic view, eclectic decor, unbeatable location, and warm hospitality made this one of my favorite hotel stays. I’d absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Rooms are a bit small but modern and decorated well. We enjoyed our stay overall. Great location, easy to get around in the ferry, which operated frequently to Amsterdam central. The area is nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Food at the butcher restaurant was mediocre. The Noord side had many restaurant options and museums.

Fabulous rooms, great views and excellent bed. Loved the record player in the room! Such friendly staff too; good service. The area is really nice for a little stroll - interesting architecture, vibe, good restaurants - and the ferries take you across quickly. Recommended!

What an amazing stay! The hotel, food, the rooms were perfect. Everything that you can think of this hotel had. The staff were so accommodating and we felt really comfortable here. The location was also good, we had to take a short ferry over to the other side of the city, which was free and easy. Everything was walking distance. Overall we would love to stay at Sir Adam again!
