Came here on our first night in Amsterdam. Wasn't sure what to expect apart from it being a raw vegan place. We had the zucchini pesto pasta and beetroot smoothies. The smoothies were very strong and earthy and the zuchinni was very nice it was definitely an experience here, the food was very well presented and the man who served us was very kind.

Since I have been working in this place, I can regretfully  confirm that this place has nothing to do with a community but rather a cafe/shop where you can indeed get accommodation and food in exchange for work but the there is a catch. First, the owner avoids paying employees in order to avoid paying for tax and registration purposes. I if you dare to stay in the accommodation, you’ll be exploited again, like a servant and don’t even think of getting your deposit money back, it’s been almost a year and all the excuses in the world, even if we signed a contract!
Second, what seems to be a healthy approach on food, it’s actually a health hazard.Often times we were instructed to”pimp” the food and scrape mold of expired dishes , under the “no waste ” approach.
If customers complain, the excuse is always guilt free and rather an experience in the world of “ experimental “and in “the name of alchemy” that we, the commoners, are not able to understand.
Everything is a way to scam people and exploit youngsters that wish to be a part of a community..You’ll hear a lot of trigger words my favorites being :abundance, space holding and unconditional ! You’ll soon learn , once you collaborate, that they are just words.
My advice is to watch your dish being prepared, ask for the date the food was produced , pay by card and keep the receipt in case of food poisoning in case you need to contact the health authorities
I take this as an eye-opening experience that helped me grow, despite the harsh lesson of being very careful who I give my trust to.

I don’t see how sharing with people my experience is vengeful. You’ve been trying to purposely delete my post monthly.
I’m not frustrated but disappointed that not only I haven’t received my deposit back and it’s been a year since but I also was fooled to pay you “training” of 1100 euros which meant someone teaching me how to basically make a few recipes in 2 months. I let that slide.
Indeed the food is organic but not handled in hygienic conditions.serving raw food is not only an art but also a responsibility and I take that seriously. As per the collegues, there is no community to talk about, they all left apart from 2 close friends that exchange for food and idealistic hopes.
You cheat the system and prey on people’s good faith and I’m angry, frustrated and vengeful? I will let others decide if so.

Love everything about this place. Can seat, detox, relax and enjoy really healthy food. The smoothies are very fulfilling and really enjoy their desserts. The place has a patio and inside they have a bunch of board games and books. Makes for a great place to go enjoy a meal, relax and chat.

Well balanced experience. One of my favourite places in Amsterdam! Delicious smoothies and a cake as never tried before! Cool and welcoming owners, nice background music :)

A quirky place. Food was ok - small portions. The person serving us was kind and cheerful. It was super empty (Friday lunchtime). It was a small adventure as I am not a vegan.
