After searching the city for what seemed like days trying to find a PROPER bench to sit on, we saw the crimson glow coming from the canal near the Anne Frank Huis. We followed the aura until we saw it: THE BEST BENCH IN TOWN!!! From the pleasing ergonomic shape, to the lovely red staining of the wood, to the incredible views of the city, to the delightful humor written on the bench itself, this was truly a sitting experience for the ages. I fear I may never sit on such a beautiful bench again. This might not just be the best bench in town, but the best bench in the WORLD.

As mentioned in the comments, the bench does get wet when it rains. We got lucky though and could embrace a completely dry bench.
It's been a truly relaxing experience. After a long walk, this bench is the support your legs and back need.
No need to buy tickets in advance!

best bench in town indeed! my friend and i were looking for a place to rest and this was it! the bench was arched perfectly and painted a bright red which is so cute! there is also a witty sign by the owners which made our day! 😄😄

Truly the best bench in town (and probably in the world). I travel the world testing benches and in my honest opinion, I have not found one better. The curves perfectly fit your body and the wood is the perfect density for a resting experience. Skip the Anne Frank House - go to this Amsterdam landmark instead. It should be a bucket list experience for all travelers. If Google allowed me to rate 6 stars I would.
